#266909 Wolf Microwave Drawer Unit: Are The Guts and Trouble Shooting the Same As any...

Posted by AlexM on 03 September 2013 - 12:27 PM

O.K. I finally put in a new magnetron and thermal fuse.  The unit heats water, quickly and everything runs great.

When I removed the old mag, a micro crack became apparent on one of the magnets...found the issue.

Here is my follow up question. I left the sheet metal housing off the back, and noticed that the wave guide channel is heating during operation, is this normal? normal for all microwaves?

Thanks to this website, I was saved from replacing fans, heaters, and other parts that wouldn't have fixed it, THANKS FOR THE HELP!

#254297 Maytag/Whirlpool Bottom Freezer Defrost Issue: JAZZ Board?

Posted by AlexM on 09 May 2013 - 09:23 PM

This web site is outstanding, and Kohai, your drawings are awesome.  I successfully got the board replaced, and didn't look at this post in tell just now, but I pretty much pulled everything down and amazing that I didn't break any tabs, its crazy.  this post will help newbees like me stress a little less.  Luckly for me, the customer didn't watch me tugging and pulling.  thanks again!

#250491 Defrosting Evaporator with Steam or Heat gun?

Posted by AlexM on 19 March 2013 - 10:01 PM

I've always used a blow dryer and steam unit to defrost a fridge.  My steamer failed the other day and I was tempted to grab my heat gun to finish the job.  I figure its a bad idea, but does anybody do it with success?
