#219593 LTF7000ES0 Affinity Washer Heating element replacement

When you turn the screw it pulls on the back plate expanding the rubber to form a seal... Wow I should right user manuals :woot:

#219559 Spin Noise Maytag Performa PAV3200AWW

Make a video post on youtube you have me a little confused... If it spins but doesn't agitate then the transmission is bad or the agitator is stripped at the bottom, but that isn't very likely.

#219273 Whirlpool washer LSR5233EQ2 has a bad smell

Posted by washertech26 on 03 January 2012 - 07:38 PM

Try a cut or two of white vinegar it will disinfect machine if still smells do another load with bleach

#219257 Maytag Washer PAVT444AWW: clothes still wringing wet after spin.

Posted by washertech26 on 03 January 2012 - 05:02 PM

When you put the front back on the that piece of metal at the bottom was hitting the pulley. You just reach under and pull it down a little...

When under the machine I turn the pulley and watch to see if it releases the brake (above the pulley)...

The motor is a goner because of the lint.. Its either replace it or the motor.....If you repair it have a 1/2 extension and a ratchet to remove the blower and look at the wheel you will see writing on the edge tells you to remove this way.... Take blower off before you get the motor sometimes you break the blower wheel.. Just a small piece of advice.

Also look on the top of the heater housing especially in the back near the bulkhead pull off the lint and look how it has been cooking on there... That's where the lint fires can start you might want to clean it once a year and it will save you buying another motor....

#218924 Slipping Drive belt on Maytag Model A512

Posted by washertech26 on 30 December 2011 - 05:27 PM

Transmission is seized up so I would junk it... Its an old machine and the parts alone are over 300.00 plus 10.00 for a spanner wrench... It is one of the easier ones to put on but cheaper buying new I think...

#218739 GE topload Model #WJRE5550H1WW loud roaring during spin cycle

Posted by washertech26 on 28 December 2011 - 09:14 PM

Repairing a GE washer

1. Pull pin
2. Drop grenade into tub closing the lid
3. Run like hell

You can tell I really like GE washers and dryers...

Get another machine before you waste your time and money repairing the POS... I have put dozens of transmissions in those things and it is a pain in the butt... Take the money for the parts get another washer and save yourself doing this :wallbash:

#218737 How to test dryer - dries slowly - GE DPSR513EA2WW

Posted by washertech26 on 28 December 2011 - 09:08 PM

On high machine empty venting disconnected is it hot inside or just warm? That unit has two electric coils for the heater they are thin and fragile and not unusual for one to break.. To test you need to remove the from and the belt and drum (huge pain in the butt) Then I take a pen or screw dryer moving the coils gently and see if it is broken... If broken you just remove the four screws holding the assembly in place just removing the wires.. What out those damn parts are sharp..

Wow that part has gone up :(
