In Topic: Lg Washer wm2487hwma. Water valves only function in test mode

Thanks for all the helpful ideas. It turns out the cold water valve the customer bought and installed was bad on one solenoid out of the 4 that are on the cold water valve. I don't know why it worked in test mode but after replacing the water valve the machine runs properly. Go Figure.

The hoses are the same hoses that have been on the machine for 6 years. One suggestion a friend gave me was to check the air gap hose for a clog. If it is clogged it may be sending an incorrect reading to the pressure valve. If that's correct then the pressure switch may be telling the computer that the tub is full and not adding water. This will be my next thing to check

I carry a oven dolly . I just raise the wood platform up to the height of the bottom of the dryer and release the connectors between the washer and dryer . I then slide the dryer off the top of the washer and onto my dolly and roll it out of the way.
