Whirlpool Washer F8E3 Error. Model#WTW4800XQ1

18 March 2015 - 03:30 PM

Dear Samurai,

I have an Whirlpool washer mod# WTW4800XQ1.The customer was using it and it flooded ther laundry room and kitchen.I ran an diagnostic and the only error code stored is F8E3,which is overflow condition. It has a separate pressure switch from the main board.I have tested this and  ran thru other tests ,i.e., valves ,drain spin hi and low and agitate.Cannot find anything wrong at that time. The pressure hose has whitish film where it is connected to dome but is not constricted enough to cause I problem I think? Not 100% sure what has caused her problem.Thinking about replacing hose, switch and valve assy, but am feeling like a parts changing monkey,so could you help with your wisdom?

Dear Samurai,

I have a GE dryer that is taking a long time to dry clothes.I removed the drum and tested heating element and have good continuity. The element will heat up partially.I ran the dryer with the drm out to see that. The model # is GTDP350EMOWS.The vent is clean as a whistle.Iam thinking the thermostat on the blower but not sure. There are three on the element shroud and they all have continuity, and read 9k on the other portion of these thermostats including the blower thermostsat. What do you think master?
