leaking water

19 January 2014 - 08:08 PM

Took the bottom cover off our Whirlpool duet washer and found it has been leaking water.Started a cycle and looked for a leak and the front of the counter weight had a few stains. The only leak I found was a couple of drops on the top of the counter weight.I don't want to buy a new Bellow if I don't need to. It's a M# WFW8400TW03. Any ideas?

Because I am not a professional appliance repairman and am not ever around any I was wondering just what tools you carry most of the time.Of course we've seen the arsenal that the Master carries but what do most of you carry on a day to day basis. For my hvac work I carry a few screwdrivers/nut drivers pliers etc and of course my meter.I did run into an appliance repairman once and he had a Bosh driver and a couple of hand tools in a Bosh case.I know its a never ending conversation but I would really like to know from you what you carry.

I was wondering what type of 1/4x5/16 wrench you guys have. I have the laminated type but I have seen on other repair videos a much nicer one.It is made like a box end gear wrench. I have looked on the gear wrench site and I don't see anything. The little set that I bought at Lowe's has one similar but is not as heavy duty as the one I am talking about.Just like appliances I see a lot of 1/4 &5/16 screws and I would like to find one of these wrenches.

condenser cleaning

07 November 2013 - 08:35 PM

At times I do some commercial appliance repair and the refers and ice machines have some dirty greasy condensers. What do you guys use to clean them? I said the next time I ran into that situation I was going to break out my steamer.I have used an aerosol evap cleaner but it didn't work too well.

New Larry Light

20 August 2013 - 08:02 PM

There's a new Larry Light out.It has more lumens and a better switch too.The only thing I don't care for is an LED pointer on the end.I don't need to point to things very much. The price could have been cheaper without the pointer I'm sure.It is a bright light though!
