Whirlpool Washer WTW8800YW0 Leaking

23 January 2015 - 07:55 AM

I have a customer that has a leaking problem with a whirlpool washer.  Model # WTW8800YW0.  Serial # C14172093.

I first checked underneath. The pumps housings are not cracked. Hoses good.  But in diagnostic cycle, when running the bleach dispenser and fabric softener dispenser.  They seem to overfill and overflow out of the top causing it to leak.  There are no obstruction clogging the dispenser compartments.  The detergent dispenser does not do this.  ???

Thanks, Jim

Frigidaire dryer FSE48GFS0 thermal fuse

31 December 2014 - 09:26 AM

I have a Frigidaire dryer model FSE48GFS0.  Replaced the thermal fuse (134120900) and thermostat (3204267) twice and its bad again after 6 months.

I replaced venting and cleaned and vacuumed out fan chamber and inside dryer. Cleaned vent hood. Venting is approx. 8 feet long with only 2 turns.

Dryer heating & cycling properly and blowing air fine.

???

Thanks, Jim

P.S.  This is not the first time that I have run into dryers that keep blowing thermal fuses after being repaired and cleaned.

What do you guys do in this case?

Maytag Dishwasher MDB7709AWQ2 lights on/no run

23 September 2014 - 06:45 AM

I have a maytag dishwasher

Model # MDB7709AWQ2

Serial # F00601417

The heavy cycle, wash indicator, steam clean option & the cancel drain lights are on steady. Touch pad will not respond to any selections.  Will not start/run.

I am coming in the middle on this as the customer has tried to fix this himself.  He has 2 touch panels (original & new). Both do the same thing.

He said he tried the control board and sent it back because it did the same thing.  He damaged the latch so I do have that bypassed for now.

Control board?

 Thanks, Jim

Maytag Washer MVWC400XW3 Noisy Spin

26 August 2014 - 06:09 AM

I have a maytag top load MVWC400XW3.  Loud worn bearing noise in spin.  Does this machine have tub/spin shaft & bearing kit like the bravo/cabrio or do I need to change the transmission?

Replaced many an actuator but this is the first noisy one I've had.

Thanks, Jim

LG Washer WM2350HWC Washability

12 August 2014 - 06:09 AM

I have a customer complaining that the white clothes come out dingy/dirty. She says that she can take them to the bath tub and rinse them and see the dirt come out of them. Not soap but dirt.

She was not home ,babysitter was there with no info, so I did not have anything clothing to see for myself.  I ran through the complete diagnostic and all the water valves/dispensers wash, spin, pump seem to operate normally.  She said that she called LG and the told her to clean the machine.  She bought a "cleaner" from home depot and used it once a week for three weeks per LG instructions and is still having this problem.

Any suggestions

Thanks as always.
