#323389 Maytag SE1000 leaks at bottom tub seal

Posted by Stilltrying3 on 29 June 2015 - 06:37 PM

Well ... Willie ...  I am going to let the old girl off to the farm.

I have so much on my plate right now, fixing it with what I know is wrong now

will be a burden ... but I think if it broke on me again if I fixed it -

I would have to go out and buy a shotgun to take my frustrations out and

finish the machine off.

You have been a real help.  Do you want me to ship you (free) any easily removable

and shipable parts ?

Thanks for all the time you have put into your most helpful posts.

All your posts were spot-on, clear, and seemingly the exact thing to do.

Many thanks,

Tom

Willie - Thanks -

I have a horizontal tranny and took it apart in 2013.

Shaft may be available:

$74.50 + S&H

Memory tells me that after I removed the outer tub the tranny was just hanging there

probably ought to get a new tranny gasket

just thinking out loud

Thanks again - MUCHO,

Willie -

Thanks for the post, I'm trying to find the time to tilt 'her back and check on a few things.

Nothing like a Corvette - is it built for the 1/4 mile track ?

I had a '70 and pretended I was on a track most of the time.

Regards,

ST3
