GE Monogram ZDP48N6RH1SS Burner only simmers

11 May 2015 - 11:47 AM

Hey guys. Working on a monogram range with a problem with 2 of the burners. The left rear burner will only simmer. When it initially lights a large (normal) flame flares up for an instant and then drops to simmer. No matter what position the valve is in, it only simmers.

The center burner is also having some issues with trying to light all the time even when the flame is present. I'm assuming this has something to do with the reignition module. Don't see much else it could be from looking at the schematic.

Haven't worked on one of these before. Need some help from a monogram pro!

THanks guys

F&P DD24DDFTX6 Dish drawer

03 April 2015 - 10:15 PM

Worked on my first dishwasher today. What a nightmare, Not the dishwasher but that a previous "tech" had worked on it. He had swapped boards from top to bottom and all kinds of crap. Anyway, just wondering if any water should be left in the bottom of the drawer when the cycle is done? The complaint was water left and stinking. The stinking was from the drain hose being clogged with crap from the garbage disposal and the smell coming through the drain hose . So I cleaned the Y going to the garbage disposal and then ran a quick test. All functions are good except there is a small amount of water left over. I can hear the difference in sound when the drain pump is pumping water and then becomes empty. Is a small amount of water normal. You can just see it in the drain filter. ???

Bosch Dishwasher SHE68R55UC/68 Dead, Circ motor shutters once

01 April 2015 - 08:17 PM

Hey guys, I'm Working on a Bosch dishwasher that is doing some weird stuff. Customer complaint was unit is DEAD. When I arrived I found correct voltage to dishwasher and yes unit was dead (no lights on display). What I did find is when the power button is depressed the circulation motor will shutter for 1-3 seconds and then nothing again, DEAD unit. To get the motor to shutter again, the breaker must be turned off and back on. (like the control is reset)

I have many manuals on bosch dishwasher's. Unfortunately this seems to be a model (at least circulation motor) they didn't keep for very long. I cant find anything on diagnosing the operation of it.

This is the pump in the unit

# 665510 BLDC pump • Pump, motor and control come as one unit. • Speed changes as needed for wash cycle and washability (Vario wash). • Pump is isolated from motor, so no seal is needed and no need to loosen or replace impellers • Used starting with UC/46 index.

Part number: 665510

Part number: 665510

Is the dead display and the circulation motor issues connected? Have to return to get deeper into diagnosing.

Anyone had these symptoms happen before?

Referer Spam, Bad?

08 January 2015 - 11:17 AM

Im getting some hits on my website that i know is just referer spam. It is all russian visits. Probably getting about 7 a day now. Started with 1 or none a day.

I know that I would need waaaaay more visits for this to become a BIG deal. But just wondering what referer spam does and if its harmful.

Anybody else have this issue?

Dispenser cups full of water was the original complaint. They were all built up with calcium deposits and pretty nasty looking. So I replaced the fabric and bleach dispenser cups and siphon tubes.

After replacing I physically watched the dispenser siphon correctly.

Got a call the other day and the customer says that both cups are still full of water at the end of the cycle.

What now? I have fixed many problems like this with new dispenser parts. There really is nothing else to cause this problem. What am I missing guys? What can I try next?
