Marcone wants $176 for me.I hate Marcone.I was a old AP WAGNER customer for years and after they bought them out meaning Marcone prices went up.I am a one man operation and i know the more you buy the better price they give you.1 St Source Sevall is more like AP Wagner and always had a account with Marcone and AP Wagner but Everytime that i would look up part prices AP Wagner was always cheaper. 1 St source is in saddle brook N.J or Albany New York which is only one day fed x to me.Funny thing is they never charge me for shipping even on orders like $50 or so.And this has been going on for as long as Ap wagner got bought out buy Marcone.I talk to the guy from 1 St source and he was a Apwagner Rep.working for first source and he hook me up somehow and no shipping at all.I know he hated Marcone maybe thats why.But never burn all your parts suppliers because marcone as parts 1ST source don't have sometimes.

#270603 GE SxS GSS22WGPDBB freezing food AFTER initial repair

Posted by bigbuck on 09 October 2013 - 09:03 AM

I had to replace damper only "TWICE" on a GE ,  been doing this for 30 years.   Ive replaced more Whirlpool and old Amana dampers.

But as a rule if Refrg.  is 6/8 years old they get a new evaporator sensor, the new improved dual heater & the Board.

1 in 3 bad heaters or sensors ended up having a bad board also.

Yes you charge a little more but you have NO recall, or defrosting evap. coils all over again.

I agree with you on that and also safety thermostat. You can even test the thermistors on your truck stock with a ice bath before you put them in meaning as soon as they become truck stock after reorder them but never really put in a bad thermistor. But when your defrosting evap. and the thermistor is just sitting there i just replace it and the safety too along with that single heater if it subs.to the double. And if its 6/8 years old new board. Those older boards where problems anyway.

#270600 Kenmore 106.8682880 Fridge No Ice & Fridge Not very cool

Posted by bigbuck on 09 October 2013 - 08:46 AM

http://www.repaircli...ber=106.8682880    Take freezer panel off and look at frost pattern on freezer .if completely frosted over you have a defrost problem it could be one of three parts two of which i posted and the defrost heater comes up as no longer available .The most common defrost problems are the two parts in the post. Also make sure fan is working in freezer.http://www.repaircli...ber=106.8682880

#269831 Kitchenaid KBRC36FTS00 Built-In is Beeping

Posted by bigbuck on 01 October 2013 - 01:05 PM

Need to check fan motor with voltmeter for 120 volts when it it off and not running. If at some point you get no voltage and the compressor is running then you have a bad board. If you have 120 volts and fan is off than bad fan motor.Board would have to be rebuilt.http://fixyourboard.com

http://www.harborfre...ster-97218.html  Could use one these to check for voltage on condenser fan motor wires.

#269654 GE Refrigerator Fan with Thermistor

Posted by bigbuck on 29 September 2013 - 08:26 AM

This is what i don't understands when i work for G.E years ago they would say to us that if we can save a extra screw from being used in appliance that would save us a lot of money. They have all this fan motor and seem like they  re designing appliances left and right.Don,t that cause them to change there production line and re tool it and this goes for all the manufactures?Years ago most the stuff we work on was made about the same way for years. We know everything is base on the stock markert and shareholders. i just don't see the logic in it.What happens if there is a gold dot on it?
