yes you are right, it is the latter! however I do not beleave our peers are being lazy. they like me, were not fully trained and do not know to double check this call by testing the condenser temp as well as the comp amps. I always try do do my best work on each job.( Not Porn to such things ) it caused me to get a little Emotional to find I was in that latter group, and may have caused a household undo hardship. I was taught that the evap coil is my bible, if there is not 100% frost you have a fault.

yes I'm a student of yours in the Fundamentals Course. I have read your post, that its better to finish Fundamentals before I move into the refrigerator course. I'm moving slow threw the Fundamentals course, between running jobs, doing paper work & doing my homework on the jobs at hand, plus balancing between family needs. I have not put enough time into it.  butt I will take the refrigerator Course in time.

I'm a hands on guy, I do better with videos, so i do hope you consider it.  I already spend a lot of time reading & researching. butt yes I will take the refrigerator diagnosis and repair Course in time.

Thank you both for all the time and effort! You know, I've been at this for five years, have been to Fred's academy, as well as many classes sponsored by Whirlpool & other . But never have I gotten this detailed need-to-know information, such as you guys have given me here. I may have misdiagnosed a fault in the system at times by looking at the evaporator coils as my bible to determine a fault. That is, of course, after looking at fans, damper, cleanliness of condenser and such. You've done a service to me.

Id like to add Samurai if you were to make, say a 5 video series packed with fridge fault diagnosis covering all the different aspects Id pay for that!
