#308049 WRF989SDAH00 serial K23400760 whirlpool refrigerator not making ice

Posted by Spannerwrench on 22 November 2014 - 10:47 AM

Sounds like you have a cooling problem in the Freezer, if there was ice buildup only on the upper right of the evaporator, there is a sealed system problem (leak). I may be off a little, but I think that most WPL Ice makers will not harvest the cubes unless the bimetal in the IM is below 13 degrees.

#307943 Maytage PAV3240AWW washer -- sub in valve?

Posted by Spannerwrench on 20 November 2014 - 07:20 PM

If it will work and not harm the machine I would use it, but, when the correct part comes in I would put it in.  Make the customer aware that is is only a temporary fix that you need to install the correct part when it is available, and have them sign off on it. As long as it's not a safety issue...

#307758 WfW9500TW01 F 20 Code in Clean Washer Cycle & Diagnostic Test Only

Posted by Spannerwrench on 17 November 2014 - 07:18 PM

Booya!

The Flowmeter is position sensitive. The pinwheel must be installed vertically. Any canter to it may cause the wheel to stick.

Many times the F20 error code pops up only when HOT water passes thru the flow meter. The hot water may be softening the hoses on either side of the meter, causing the flowmeter to canter. This could affect it’s ability to read water flow accurately.

I don't think so, but it's right in the harness next the the valve, you can't miss it.

I personally like and use Evernote daily, as well as all of my techs.  There's a lot more you can do with a PDF now besides just read it.  Using Evernote with PDF's is a great tool.  That piece of paper, PDF, is now searchable in a second, you can hand write on it which is searchable, and many other benefits.

I agree with the Samurai, he's not forcing you to do anything, just opening up new doors for you.

I've been doing this for a long time and I remember not getting service pointers and things until a year after they were released, if I ever got them.   Whether or not we were manufacture authorized.  Now you can get them at the click of the mouse or by simply typing in a model number and all of the notes you've taken populate. You can also do so much more with the PDF besides just reading it like a piece of paper.

Just a few of my thoughts...

You probably don't need the wiring diagram, but here's the part you need by style.\, this should also be in the downloads section as PDF. Don't replace the complete harness, but'n'splice just the diode.

#306909 How to clear fault on Miele G1832 Dishwasher

Posted by Spannerwrench on 01 November 2014 - 01:00 PM

There's no need to clear the code, if the float is down it should resume normal operation. I have seen the floats get stuck in the up position before. If that's the case manually raise and lower the float until it moves up and down freely. If it still does the same thing afterwards it's a bad switch or control, which is rare on this unit.

As a side note, I just got a dispatch from Miele for a customer getting an F70 error on their DW, it's amazing how the inter web works sometimes.

F70 I do believe is a flood switch code. Means you have water in the pan underneath the dishwasher, not inside.  Dry it up completely by removing the toe kick and the access panel behind the toe kick, "UNPLUG OR TURN OFF BREAKER FIRST", use a thick sponge and keep soaking it up until it's dry.  Then run a cycle, if the problem reoccurs, there's a leak, call a pro.  If you have a Miele dishwasher you should be able total a service tech for the repair.

The manual is probably here. Electrolux/Frigidaire Manuals are more difficult to find.  It would help; if everyone added a model number in the Reply field when they found the one that corresponds to their model.

Here are some that are in the downloads section I believe, one is probably yours.
