In Topic: KitchenAid Washer agitator issue

found a used washer for cheap that just happened to have the same gearcase / tranny part so I removed its tranny and now have it installed and working!  guess I will hang on to the extra for awhile in case something else arises but I really don't have room for it.  So far a few loads washed ...and we are agitating again!

removed tranny with help from video with no trouble. Thank you. Don't see any oil leakage or anything obviously wrong but dont think I will tackle opening it up. Anyone have a need for it, let me know. I may pick up one locally tomorrow. Probably go with a new one instead of used.

Willie, thanks for confirming again what the service guy said. From his original misdiagnosis and a few comments here, I just wanted to confirm.

Here is one more video showing post moving clockwise without agitator and then showing lower agitator only moving Counter CW.

Here is some thoughts; the post does move back and forth without the lower agitator in place.  However, once placing the lower agitator on the post, the lower agitator only moves Counter Clock Wise.
