Lost power to several light switches, now Im lost?

13 May 2013 - 01:36 PM

I have a set of three way light switches in my hallway at either end. I wanted to add a power outlet so the computer printer could sit at the end of the hallway on a desk. I opened up and removed the switch and did what they told me to do at HomeDepot and I was looking at a wiring diagram for the three way and thought I had it all right. I turned the breaker on and got an immed spark and smell/ But the breaker did not trip. I lost the power to the two bedrooms, the hallway and the stair case lights. the house was built 1988 and light switches only have two wires in them on each side of the switch. The three way swithches all have 4 wires in them.. Ive tested everything and I see 120v at the original threeway switch but I cannot get the lights to work anywhere on this circuit. Did I lose neutral? or what happened?  where do I start?

Washer Dryer Combo Error Code ER13, Haier, Summit, Ariston

09 May 2013 - 10:16 AM

My 5 month old Haier hwd1600, (same machine is the Summit SPWD1800) is not drying and early in the dry cycle stops and throws out error code ER13.. Because I put this tiny machine in my tiny office at work the manufacutrer is calling it a "Commercial" installation.. So I get only a 90 day warranty. Anyhoo. I'll take any help I can get since even the Tech repair guy who looked at it said "Its a guess as to which part failed". Error 13 is related to the "Dryer Heater Error"..  If you search the web you'll find hundreds of people getting this same error with this piece of Junk machine. If we can figure this thing out, there's probably a lot of money to be made helping people fix these and buy parts. Because I am yet to find people who know how to fix this machine, including the repair company who looked at it..
