Maytag Neptune (MAH3000AWW) stopping mid cycle - randomly

25 August 2013 - 06:37 AM

I have read through other discussions and my situation seems a little different than the others.  The machine is randomly stopping (lights go out) during mid cycle but will pick up where it left off when the start button is pushed.   I recently replaced the main board due to the hot water never shutting off through the whole cycle.  This solved that problem and the machine ran without issue for over a month.    In order to resolve this shut down issue, I first changed the wax motor.  Problem still exists.   I am looking for a punch list of things to check out before a throw up the white flag and retire this beast.

Maytag Neptune Washer (model MAH3000AWW) won't stop filling

22 June 2013 - 09:11 PM

I have a Maytag Neptune Washer that has a new problem.  The hot water (only) runs continuously through the whole cycle.  It keeps running to the point where the door leaks. This issue even occurs when I select Cold / Cold as a wash / rinse option.  The water does stop when the whole cycle is complete.   Here is what I have done:

1) Verified the pressure sensing tube is clear (blew it out)

2) Confirmed the pressure switch works (continuity checks and switch opening as described in troubleshooting sheet in washer)

3)  Manually triggered switch while machine is running...only cold water stops.

Thoughts?

Maytag Neptune Dryer overheating (model MDG3000AWW)

21 June 2013 - 09:00 AM

I have a Maytag Neptunre Dryer (model MDG3000AWW) that just started to get really hot.  It appears to me that the temperture control system is not working anymore.  Gas system ignites and just keeps firing regardless of temperature setting.  What are the common things to check.  I have read some articles on the cycling thermostat failing.  If this is the likely cause, where can I find some information on testing this theory?
