Upright Westinghouse Freezer (WFU14K2BW1): JUNK or PEPAIR

14 July 2013 - 11:23 AM

The freezer got flooded a few years back, stopped working and just sat in the basement. The compressor would not start. Today I have replaced the overload protector and relay. White wire to the earthing terminal (body of the compressor), the black to the relay. Turned it on – compressor started to slightly vibrate. Few minutes later –vibration gone and compressor body started to heat up. No cooling in the coils. Is it junk or is there anything else I can try to do? May thanks for your suggestions.
