#262176 Frigidaire dryer stopped mid cycle and now won't run...

Posted by Harpman59 on 23 July 2013 - 05:14 PM

Just wanted to drop a post by y'all and thank you for your help. I soldered in the new start relay, repaired the wiring, put everything back together and "voila" I'm back in business!

Remember when I said "...but I think it may be a little beyond my capability!   :kopkrab:..."

Never mind, I shouldn't ever underestimate my talents lol!! I took another look at the relay and there's only 4 pins so, while I'm not an expert here, I do  have some tools and a little mechanical inclination.

Solder iron fired up and relay removed...

A quick search for "Potter and Brumfield part# T9AS1D22-12" pulled up several results of the part, ordered thru Newark

http://www.newark.co...537483461|plid|

and the shipping was 3.78 times the cost of the (damn) part...which was....... $3.78.....I thought that was ironic.

Anyway, I'll post results when I solder the relay in and stuff all the parts back into what was my dryer...
