#316295 Kitchenaid Wall Oven Model #KEBC208KSSO

Thank you everyone for the help.

The part was about in the midddle, a foot down from the top. I had to take the back cover off. No big deal.

The customer had two nice 6 X 6 pieces of wood, that stood on top of each other, lying down,  carefully balanced the oven for slide out most of the way. Enough

so I could get the back off and change the part.

Pretty smooth sailing. Potential to be a bear in other circumstances I'm sure.

Again thanks,

Bruce in L.A.

Turned out to be a bad connection somewhere. I pulled off and reseated lots of connectors and I guess one of them was it.

Machine working fine now.

Thanks for the help

Thanks for all the help.

The real problem turns out to be Coast Appliance parts here in CA changed the original model # I gave them.

They said it didn't come up but with a couple of letter changes, it did and we went with that.

As a result, the diffuser they sent me, although it looked exact as the original, was the wrong one.

I finally went back to them and another person on the lookup and the original model # I gave them, suddenly

showed up as valid and the diffuser was different.

I received the new diffuser yesterday, installed it, and Voila, the fan came back on and the vents opened up and

the refrigerator is working as it should.

So, all this nightmare and unhappy customer caused by a bad lookup from the parts distributor.

Happening more and more these days. No wonder we outsource jobs to other countries.

Again, thanks

I got the board and was ready to install for the customer, but he changed his mind and went and ordered Sparkletts

bottled water.

Oh well.....

But, thank you all

The control board did not do the trick.

It turns out, the doors were not striking the light switches hard enough (go figure), and the computer

was sensing the doors were open. The customer glued something on the switch strikes and that

fixed it.

Very embarassing indeed.

But, thanks for the input fellas.

Thank you all so far,

I went back today to look again.

I ohmed the pink wire from the timer connector to the float switch and it had continuity.

I took the two wire connector off the motor and put it on the water inlet valve and there came water, and the
drain solenoid had power and drained the machine.

Then I hooked my meter to the timer connector pink wire which supplies the water valve and to ground and there
was no power coming off the timer anywhere on the dial. (I turned it all the way around).

I told the customer, if I hadn't been here before, ha ha, I'd say you need a new timer.

It sure is looking like my new timer is bad.

Thank you Fermented Grand Master,

Indeed, it was the connector under the hinge. One of the wires was broken.

Thanks again,

Sorry, but you're way off the mark here. This oven DOES have an electrode igniter in the oven.

Check this out...

That's the part that lights the oven Bake.

Maybe you've not seen this before, they're not what I usually see either.

Thank you fellas,

A job well done. It was the main control board.

No scorch marks and visibly nothing looks bad on the board, but it got the
display back on and the light works now too.

Thank you, I checked that first and it was clear.

I ran the complete diagnostic and F-20 came up when it tried to let
hot water in.

It seems the customer had her kids over last week to do laundry and
they shut off the hot water valve.

Isn't that nice.

Should be fine now.

Thanks again,
