KitchenAid kudc20fvss Drain for a few seconds and stops

29 February 2012 - 04:44 PM

I am stumped on this one. my dishwasher will not drain completely so I did the following: After performing all of these items I noticed the dishwasher drain ok for a few seconds and then stops, but the pump motor keeps running

1) checked and clean the drain tubing into the garbage its clear
2) checked the check valve in the drain hose and it appears to be ok.
3) cleaned out the chopper screen and inside of wash pump housing

After performing all of these items I noticed the dishwasher drains ok for a few seconds and then stops, but the pump motor keeps running. I tried a different working drian pump, and I still have the same problem. Is it possible there is still a clog somewhere in the line before it leaves the cabinet it is installed in? Is there some other place it can be clogged I am not aware of? I tend not to believe it is a clog, since I see water discharged into the garbage disposal full stream for a few seconds before it stops. Anybody have any Idea what could be wrong? This happens with the original pump and the test pump I know is working I tried.

JCD2289 Water Filter issues

08 March 2010 - 05:06 AM

I have an JCD2289 fridge, that has a water filter inside the beer compartment.  When I first got this thing, when I removed the filter the water flow would be stopped.  Now if I take the filter out before turning off the water supply the water will keep running all over.  Does anyone know if there is a valve that needs replacing, and where in the fridge it is?  I am replacing my ADC this week  (for the third time in 10 years) and would like to take care of this water issue at the same time.

thanks

Jenn-Air WW27430P Food Tempature Probe

16 November 2009 - 10:32 AM

I am having an issue with the meat  temperature probe.  When I insert it into the oven, it intermittently starts blicking "probe" and allows the food temperature to be set.  Most of the time nothing happens when the probe is inserted.  The times when the probe appears to work it will function for a while and then just disconnect, and the oven will beep, until I press cancel.

I've checked the probe with an Ohm meter and it appears to be in range.  I also tried a new one and the problem still happens.  Anybody have an idea what the problem could be?

Thanks.

Jenn-Air WW27430P oven will not unlock after self clean

20 September 2009 - 03:17 PM

After running the self clean cycle the oven door will not unlock for many hours.  The fan is on and the red "lock" is illuminated on the display.  I tried turning off the circuit breaker for over 1/2 hour but it does not reset the oven, in fact the time increments for the duration of the power down.  That seems strange to me.

Also another issue is that the oven will not go on with the probe plugged in.  I just ignored this since I do not really need the probe, but could this be part of the issue?

Does anyone know what could be wrong (with the locked state)?  Also is there a way to reset the control board so it will unlock and put the oven back to ready mode?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.
