Well, no, I'm more of a parallel universe guy. I spent much of my life as a believer, even attending Bible college, and have studied the Scriptures for over 40 years. I used to hold to the theory UFO's were part of what the Bible calls "principalities and powers of the air". Little by little, though, I began to lose my faith in the Bible as I learned how much of the texts are based on myths, hearsay, third person narratives, altered documents...and just how much of it is just plain unscientific. The Earth 6,000 yrs old? Joshua making the earth stand still so he could win a battle? A worldwide flood with no geologic evidence? Two of every specie of animal and insect saved in a boat? A man swallowed by a fish and lived to tell about it? A prophet calling down fire from the atmosphere to consume an altar of meat? Not to mention the countless genocides committed in the name of God, which rivals anything we've seen in history.

So I quit making the Bible the backdrop for my world view. God doesn't love us and have a wonderful plan for our lives.  If he is a God of love and all powerful, he can mitigate the world's sufferings and evils, or he's not a God of love. Or is powerless to do so.

As for UFO's, even Stephen Hawking admits we may be living in a parallel multiverse. Who's to say these visitors haven't learned how to travel between universes, if indeed science one day proves we live in one? I'm more inclined to hold to that theory than the one I used to cling to. Both are theories, after all, with very little scientific evidence for either.

It's unfortunate the documentary cherry-picked the weakest parts of the UFO phenomenon, like the contactee phenomenon, which I view with some skepticism. But  there's no doubt something has had the interest of governments around the world for decades. These craft have been observed and studied by thousands of credible eye witness, including military, law enforcement and trained scientists. They have been instrumental in shutting down en masse our nuclear ICBM networks. They have been chased by jet fighters. They are solid, physical objects, not spirit beings. They leave radar traces and physical impressions at landing sites. Who knows what they are, but one would have to embrace a Christian world view to posit them as spirit beings. Guess I can't go there any more...

I'm not a Biblical apologetics guy. I have zero interest in convincing unbelievers or "saving souls." I have enough trouble working out my own salvation! People choose to believe what they want and they'll do that regardless of anything I say. So those conversations are usually pointless. Besides, that's not what the video is about.

From your comments, it sounds like you haven't watched the entire video (if any).

Heiser's focus in the video is not the Biblical account or Biblical apologetics. Yes, he brings the Biblical perspective in toward the end but only after talking about Project Paperclip, the Majestic documents, Roswell, MK Ultra, government coverups, human medical experiments, the UFO abductee experience.

I'd be interested in your comments on the actual content of the video more so than the other topics you raised. Although it's interesting, it does not pertain to the contents of the video itself.

Well in order to believe his thesis the Roswell crash was experimental German craft imported with her scientists after the war, you would have to believe that these imported scientists were able to create and build these things from the time they got here, around 1945-6 and the crash of 1947. Little more than a year, which seems physically impossible. You would have to account for strange metal found by witnesses, the testimony of the Roswell mortician who handled getting caskets for the craft occupants, and the testimony of Major Jesse Marcel.

Also, just because the Majestic 12 documents were leaked to a journalist doesn't mean they are spurious. Nuclear physicist Dr. Stan Friedman has done a lifelong study of them and are convinced they are genuine.

I think the US government is complicit in a cover up at the highest levels. Bill Clinton tried to get to the bottom of the UFO mystery but was stonewalled. Ronald Reagan hinted in a speech of their existence. Jimmy Carter actually had his own sighting.

My opinion is closest to that of Jacques Vallee...these visitors are from a parallel existence to ours, are highly advanced technologically, but may have sinister motives. If they are involved in human abduction for the purpose of breeding experiments it does sound downright alarming.

The conclusion the film suggests is that they are demonic....maybe he is right. I'm just a dumb service tech. But one would have to embrace a world view that includes the existence of such beings.

Dr. Mike is the real deal! Until fairly recently, I used to think exactly the way you do about the Bible. I figured, "Well, there's church and then there's this weird thing called the Bible that I guess I'll never understand." Even though I've been a Christian all my life, I never understood the Bible before I started listening to his lectures on YouTube and his podcast. It's really misleading (and alienating) the way most churches teach scripture today.

At his website, he posts lots of other interesting stuff that you won't find anywhere else: http://drmsh.com. The three videos at the bottom of his homepage are a good orientation. Get ready for a paradigm shift!

If you're driving around and want some good brain food to listen to, check out his podcast: http://www.nakedbiblepodcast.com

He's written a couple of science "faction" books where he uses science fiction plots to present real historical US government programs and documents mentioned in the "Aliens and Demons" video: http://drmsh.com/fiction/

When you're ready to have your mind blown and understand the Bible in a paradigm that was never before on your radar, read his non-fiction book, Unseen Realm: http://amzn.to/2xKqUVZ
