[Webinar] Inaugural Appliantology Peer Group

Tech Training
Son of Samurai

Event details

Who: All tech members at Appliantology: Professional Appliantologists, Senior Appliantology Fellows, Legacy Techs, and Master Samurai Tech Alumnus

What: Bring something you'd like to share with your brethren in the craft: it could be photos, a tech tip, new insights gleaned from recent training -- anything having to do with the business or technical sides of the appliance repair trade. If you've got something to show, we'll let you share your screen and give you the opportunity to teach us all something new. And of course, Team Samurai will be there to answer any questions you might have about how to use Appliantology.

When: For the first time ever, we're hosting a webinar on a Sunday afternoon! This session of the Appliantology Peer Group will be Sunday, February 25th 2018, at 4PM Eastern Time (adjust your time zone accordingly)

Where: All of our web meetings are powered by Join.me. To get connection details, see below:

If you're a tech member at Appliantology, then fill out the form below to request connection details:

How: Here are three tips to ensure that the webinars are a smooth, cool experience for you:

  1. Arrive early to make sure your connection is working! Also, if you show up late for the webinar, you'll be lost.
  2. Enter your name at the "knock to enter" window on the meeting page.
  3. Watch this ultra-short video on how to use your Join.me control console.

Tentative agenda for the upcoming Appliantology Peer Group meeting:

  • What would you like to see more of at Appliantology?
  • What is your biggest challenge in using Appliantology?
  • ASTI 2018 wrap up. I'll share my impressions; if others in attendance were at the ASTI, they are invited to share their impressions
  • Peer training presentations (presenter role will be passed to whoever has something to share, either business or technical)

If everyone can keep their background noise under control, we can have this peer group meeting open mic, which is always preferable.

Quick heads up, compadres: If you are going to share your screen to present to the Group, you'll need to download the Join.me app and connect to the meeting using it. It's a fast and free download, get it here: https://join.me/app

I hope to be there. It's been a while since I've been at one of these, and last time my audio would just not work at all no matter what I did, but if everything goes well, I should be there. :D

Try connecting audio by phone instead of through the computer. I always do it  that way, seems more reliable.

Hope to see you there!

I had hoped to be here, but our house is being sold, I have to clear out for an open house. Hope to catch the next one.

I wanted to attend as well.  But I may need to recruit the next five year old I see to serve as my IT guy to make it happen.

Sorry we missed you, Brother @Rhubarb Tau. Hope you got a buyer!  Maybe you can make the next one.

Brother @PDuff, what kind of problems did you have connecting to the webinar?

Apparently I have trouble telling time, thought the webinar was at 7.  Will redouble my efforts next time.
