[Webinar] Appliantology Peer Group

Son of Samurai
Tech Training

Who: All tech members at Appliantology: Professional Appliantologists, Senior Appliantology Fellows, Legacy Techs, and Master Samurai Tech Alumnus

What: Bring something you'd like to share with your brethren in the craft: it could be photos, a tech tip, new insights gleaned from recent training -- anything having to do with the business or technical sides of the appliance repair trade. If you've got something to show, we'll let you share your screen and give you the opportunity to teach us all something new. And of course, Team Samurai will be there to answer any questions you might have about how to use Appliantology.

When: This session of the Appliantology Peer Group will be Sunday, March 11th 2018, at 4PM Eastern Time (adjust your time zone accordingly)

Where: All of our web meetings are powered by Join.me.

How: Here are three tips to ensure that the webinars are a smooth, cool experience for you:

  1. Arrive early to make sure your connection is working! Also, if you show up late for the webinar, you'll be lost.
  2. Enter your Appliantology username at the "knock to enter" window on the meeting page.
  3. Watch this ultra-short video on how to use your Join.me control console.

At the end of the Peer Group meeting last month, we had a number of great suggestions for training topics. Those suggestions are listed below. We need some volunteers to give brief training presentations at the next Peer Group meeting that we're planning for March on any of these topics:

  • Personality assessment skills for reading customers
  • Internet connected appliances
  • LG linear compressor failures
  • Samsung FF fan icing problem
  • Electrolux FDBM FF ice maker problems
  • Tech recruitment
  • Growing your business through network marketing

In addition, Brother @KaveMan posted a topic in the Dojo on AHAM's new refrigerant service guidelines. This would be a very timely topic for someone to present to the group-- 5 to 10 minutes on the highlights and then open it up for some good discussion.

Don't be bashful! If you can volunteer to present on one of these topics or even on something else not listed here, please post a reply here and let us know. Or you can PM me privately. Domo!

Things are coming together-- here's a line up of training presentations and speakers so far:

Still plenty of topics and time if anyone else wants to present something. Just post a reply here or PM me.

Also, all presenters need to download the free Join.me app so you can share your screen: https://join.me/app

Domo!

Just a reminder- if you’re planning on attending this Peer Group Meeting, please

1. Click the yellow “Going” button. This let’s everyone see who’s going to be there— it’s a social thing, like when you’re going to a party.

2. Send in the short little form requesting connection details.

Just watched the Join.Me intro video; they mention a meeting link or meeting code to login through their website. Not sure I saw either in the conf email.

What do I need to do tomorrow to login?

Thanks for asking this because others who haven’t attended a webinar before may also be confused.

When the form above is sent in, we send an email that’s kinda longish, with phone numbers and other info

The link for the meeting is in the third paragraph of the email that was sent to you with the meeting details. Starts with “Join the meeting...”

Lemme know if you still don’t see it.
