    Whirlpool Dryer

This one slipped by me! @Son of Samurai is away this week camping so I’m fumbling around doing things he normally does (and hopefully not screwing it up too much so he doesn’t come back to a mess). But it’s good to go. Domo, @Captain Dunsel

  7. Sounds like the blower wheel especially since it increases as it runs. I've seen many on Electrolux dryers and many times with no visible defects.

Hi all, I have a Samsung side by side RSG257 AABP model and have a temp problem..Freezer LED temp reads freezer as being 0 Degrees F but actual temp inside using thermometer is only 28 degrees. Could this be a bad sensor or? (fridge side temp matches display spot on)..Thanks

Kenmore Elite / LG model 795.7205 Frig not cooling

@G Brinton You very well could have a claim to get what you paid back but the original warranty is what is stated in the owners manual. Usually 1 year full parts and labor for anything 2nd-5th year any thing to do with sealed system PARTS ONLY - you're responsible for the labor cost 6th-10th year compressor PART ONLY, (You would be responsible for the any parts required besides the compressor and full labor) There was class action that was settled quite some time ago for any for units purchased before Jan.29, 2014 - this info is in the current ongoing class action that was started in April 2019 Here's the PDF link for the current ongoing case that the above quote is from: https://www.classaction.org/media/gary-sosenko-et-al-v-lg-electronics-usa-inc.pdf And a couple of links pertaining to the prior case I believe: https://www.wfsb.com/news/lg-faces-class-action-lawsuit-as-customers-left-without-fridge/article_9ac1f25e-49e5-5ec3-ac19-ae59c495e03b.html https://topclassactions.com/lawsuit-settlements/lawsuit-news/860317-lg-class-action-says-refrigerator-compressor-defect-spoils-food/ I'm not sure if the Kenmore branded units would be included in these or not, (They were built by LG have the exact same problem because they are the exact same refrigerators made by LG but branded as Kenmore for Sears).

  12. A trick I do that works MOST of the time to determine if the blower is the issue, is to run it till the noise starts then turn the heat off and see if it slowly gets quiet and smooth running ( 1-2 minutes)
  13. It’s possible there’s a forward slash and a number after that, but that area is rubbed off.
  14. I would inspect the blower housing wheel for any cracks or mis alignment of the blower wheel. Any lint or any kind of build up on the blower wheel will cause vibration and noise. I would also take a good look at the motor mounts. I know you replaced the motor but a mis aligned motor mount can cause vibration issues through the blower wheelalso. I would take a good look at the original motors mounts and inspect them for any loosness or wear. You also may just be experiencing vibration noises because you have taken the machine apart from its original state. When heat hits the interior cabinet during the cycle , metal expands and contracts and normal vibrating noises under heat conditions might occur.

Electrolux Electric Dryer Model # EIMED60JIW4 Vibration Noise

A cracked blower wheel can cause noises like this, as the blower wheel warms up the crack can separate more and cause vibrations.
  16. Buy permagum and replace the plumbers putty. The putty is going to dry crack and fall off.
  17. Doesn’t sound like your issue but stuff gets in the drum baffles and makes noise.
  18. Also cleaned all lint from lint screen housing and inside of bottom of the dryer. This machine was one of the worst examples of lint retention I have seen. ( maybe because it can’t breathe) I had left the job and had thought of running it with the vent removed. The customers grandson is going to go under the house and look at the venting and clean it. I will probably return and try my hunch before he does that.
  19. I have been working on this dryer which when starting a cycle it runs normal then it begins to make a gradual noise which increases as the cycle continues. Within the cycle it will run quietly for a few moments only to return to its noisy “norm”. Took it completely apart 4 times. I changed all three drum roller supports in the back, ( one was definitely bad, so I changed all three) tried changing the motor only to have it do the same thing. ( put old motor back in) Changed the idler wheel, still the same noise. Ran it all apart without any drum in it, or top, quiet. Put it back together and the noise returned . It usually starts about five minutes into the cycle and gets louder and keeps it a a fevered pitch. I went outside to check the vent to see if there was any air and there was none. Could it be that this dryer has back pressure and it’s causing this awful vibration? When it was all apart it couldn’t create its air circulation since it was wide open. I have never ran up against something like this. A motor with bad bushings/ bearings usually sounds like this, but not this time. What do you all think?🤔

    RO minimum operating pressure

I think you were misinformed about 1 to 1 ratio on your system. Even the official website PENTAIR states " For each gallon of water produced, several gallons are discharged as reject water". As the bladder stretches inside the storage tank when it's getting almost full, the ratio goes up to about 1 to 10 gallons of clean to wasted water. That being said, the minimum pressure for RO systems is about 40 psi. So you are just about on the edge of minimum requirements. Low TDS water going into RO system is not as important as the pressure. Because you need a lot of pressure to "push" the water through plastic-like membrane. Also, if it's been a year, you need to change those filters... you didn't mentioned if you already changed them. RO system is great at reducing Fluoride in the "city water", but if you are on a "well water," maybe a simple carbon block or two filter is sufficient for your needs with NO waste water.

    HVAC maintenance..!!

Blower wheel is protected by an air filter which you change regularly, as you mentioned. Therefore, the blower wheel should be fine, unless you have an air leak bypassing the filter. If you have a central AC, return grills may be blocked by furniture, so make sure nothing is blocking the air flow.
  22. Air-tight refrigerator box is very important, but I'm glad you've figured it out and fixed it yourself!
  23. Take the same wiring diagram as this one.
  24. A previous tech spliced in a hard start. Customer wants me to replace with correct starter. There are just two wires to the starter and I want to figure out which goes where on the starter. If anyone can help me on this without the wiring diagram, please do.
  25. Takes the same tech sheet as this one.
  26. Model not found at Repair clinic, but found at Sears and A.P.P.. Go figure.
