All Appliantology tech members are invited to join in this workshop on all things Appliantological.
We have a special session planned for this one. Instead of the usual Show 'n Tell on a technical topic, we're going to post tech sheets in the comments to this Calendar Event (scroll down to see what's posted so far) and ask specific questions that can only be answered by reading the tech sheet. If you at least try to answer the questions beforehand, you'll get a lot more out of it. The tech sheet and the questions are posted in the comments section below.
Your mission, if you should choose to accept it, is to check out the questions for each one and try to answer them ahead of time. Then come to the Dojo to see how well you did!
Who: This workshop is only available to tech members at Appliantology.
When: Saturday, April 27 @10:00 AM Eastern Time.
      Where: Online via Zoom
      How:
Click here to go to the forum topic with the registration link. If you're interested, register now. Arrive a couple minutes early to make sure your connection is working. Set a reminder for yourself for this workshop so you don’t miss it.  And check out past workshops here: https://appliantology.org/announcement/33-webinar-recordings-index-page/

  2. Water pressure was really high! Filter only 4mos old. Inlet valve showed resistance but no continuity. Power to inlet valve confused me. It showed 2v with door open, 3v with door closed, and dropped to 0v when I press the water dispense paddle (while pressing door switch). But I could hear a click from the valve area like it was getting power! 🤔 Recommended the valve first. wondering if anybody else has other ideas or experience with this model?

Both of the cups were attached, with pins in them, but came off when I installed suspension pads. What are the pins for? Thanks for your response!

so yes my "test" run found two perforations in the outer tub. Looks like that tub might be obsolete now for over 10 years. I know I got a lot of good years out of it. And I wouldn't want to hold on to it so badly if modern units could hold a candle to the reliability of yesteryear. So, I'm still, ahem, fishing. Looking for ideas on spray epoxy. Both pin holes are on the "deep" end of the tub near the pump drain. surrounding areas are strong. Epoxy is water proof, the tub is not under pressure - I thought if I were to coat the entire inside surface... or at least the bottom of the tub to the height of the retaining bolts. I saw a few threads here re: epoxy --, but no clear Reccos.. What do you think? thanks for looking. I've also got some Seen-On-TV Flexseal. But I'm not too high on that. I used it on a vinyl collapsible rain barrel and its peeling away, wrapped it around a down spout that got sliced by a snow blower (never worked).

  19. Soft water may be an issue if it only leaks during the clean cycle. I had this issue with my brand-new washing machine. Finally, I called the serviceman. He said that with a water softener, there are too many suds, and the suds spill over into the vent, causing the leak. He said only to use a ½ tablet of the washer cleaner (Affresh or other brands).

never mind. Not following the instructions as closely as I should've: installed 2 nut clamps. One on top of the stem and the old one inside the inner tub. Of course for ~25 yo outer tub, my test run shows a 3mm rust perforation in the base of the outer tub near the drain. I must've completed the perf. when I was cleaning.

Service manual for frigidaire micro oven combo

Hi @Captain Dunsel, can you please forward me part list? thks
  24. This workhorse has been problem free for somewhere between 22 and 28 years (It was here when I moved in 22 years ago). Things wear out. leaking started, and got more consistent and voluminous. id'd drips from the center spindle. Elected to do stem and bearing replacement. got the bearing done quickly but had to wait a bit for the stem kit (no longer available from Whirl/Mayt -- never happy buying Chinese knock-offs) It showed up & I continued the replacement/installation up through tightening the set screw on the stem. now replace the inner tub, then the washer clamp/cap and finally the nut/screw clamp. But the nut screw clamp can't find purchase of the threads on the stem. You can see in the att. pics even before the cap is placed there isn't alot of TPI visible. Its like somewhere in there I lost a 1/2 inch of height or maybe its time to call a Chinese Knock-off Alert. I've been using two different vids as my mentors. They haven't been perfect but between the two of them it should be a predictable repair. I'm following consistently and disassembled and started again from the stem bellows with the same result Can anyone offer a little guidance on this or tip? thanks. or https://youtu.be/thX1aqNXsYk?t=858
