Just saw the flow chart. I will look at it (not near now) and try to figure out if compressor and condenser fan (not sure how to tell which is which...I do hear something running!) are running and if dog hair an issue.

One of the igniter electrodes for the gas stove stopped working. The part # is WB18X24485 which is no longer produced. Is there a generic electrode harness or alternate part # that could be used instead? It seems silly to trash a stove over a $20 part. I think it could be either the harness or just the individual electrode. If it's only the electrode, is it possible to replace just that electrode? What part # would that be?

Kenmore fridge runs but doesn't cool either chamber. Model # 596.71813101 S/N: 0103164073 Only thing I have tried is power reset (no help). Please advise as to troubleshooting advice or if you think I should call a repair tech or replace the unit.

If the advice is to call a technician fine (have an appliance store nearby that sells that service). Or even if you think I need to replace the unit, just please advise. P.s. Tried to edit this into my question, but can't find the edit button.

Equipment: GE Profile oven/range model # J BP79W W1WW (Serial # RR208327G) Issue #1: Intermittent F3 fault while broiling steaks (all that I used oven cavity for). This shuts the oven down. Sometimes I could clear the alarm and go back to broiling, but problem was getting so bad that I just switched to heating steaks on the range in a pan (sorta works, but not as good for cooking). Issue #2: Every few days I get an F2 alarm (and audible beeping). Tends to happen at night when I am sleeping, buck naked. Other: I did clean the oven a few weeks ago (had been years). Just did it manually, not the self clean. Paid attention to YT instructions to try not to mess the sensor or heating elements up, but who knows... Troubleshooting already done: Did a little Internet research and they suggest cycling power to clear "glitches". So I just did that, just now. (Using the breaker, for a few minutes.) When I hit broil on the control plate, I get an immediate F3. Happens every time, even if alarm cleared. However, if I just hit broil twice, it seems to clear the F3 and start broiling, at least per control panel...but within 60 seconds, I get another F3. Not enough time for top element (I used the top setting) to get red...but touching it, felt warm, as if started to heat. Question: What should I do? (I am not an experienced repair person, just a bachelor steak eater.) If I need a part, which one and where to get? If I need to test a sensor or heating element or controls, which/how?

The tech sheet in the machine gives the error codes (F0E3 etc) but not the key to take the flashing lights and turn them into viable codes. It says to interpret the binary codes refer to the tech sheet...

This topic is 4 years old. In the future, when you have a request to make, it is best to start a new topic. Unfortunately, the tech sheet that was already posted in this topic is the best I could find for this model number.
