  6. Dishwasher crashed, pump appears to be working, display shows :20 , but goes out if you push any other button. Close the door the pump starts and runs a few minutes then nothing
  7. I am new here. Ok I am mechanical but not Electric or circuit savy. I can trace a circuit and wire stuff but That Green Board with little things all over it is an EVIL Nemesis. Prob item , Whirlpool Dishwasher. Model # WDT780SAEM2. Issue: User interface panel. No lights. Filled with water. came back the next morning. Nothing . no lights. I have voltage detector that is blinking and chirping while I pass it along all the wiring. I bailed the sump out and washed the filters. I tried the turn off power and let sit. ½ our, 1 hour, 24 hours, etc. I looked underneath and no leaks. I have a very good supply parts house here in town. he gave me some tips but can't help to much. This was purchased from Home Depot if that is a help. I can't start switching out parts and narrow it down. I am leaning to the user button console. that would be my limit. I owned an Asco European basic model that I piked up cheap 15 years ago. It lasted 12 years. The sales rep seemed shocked as they were not known for their longevity. the interface / user buttons console is 87 plus tax. the whole computer is 200. WE just bought this in 2016. I live 40 mile from Greenville ohio. THE MUTHERSHIP! That is where this puppy was born. I have known folks who work there. Darke County Ohio. Home of Annie Oakley and the largest county fair in the country. Why are they doing this? LOL.
  8. My whirlpool dishwasher is 15 months old, and has stopped spraying entirely. Relevant history: 3 months ago, my water heater started releasing dip tube fragments into the water supply, and I had to replace the water heater and the kitchen faucet, which was too clogged to repair. The showerhead and bathroom faucets needed their filters cleaned. The dishwasher fills, heats, and drains normally, but even with the kick plate removed, I don't hear the circulation pump start at all. Is there someplace on it that I can test with a multimeter to see if it's working but clogged? Can it be unclogged or tapped with a hammer in the right spot? (You've all heard that joke, right?) If it needs replaced, is it definitely the circulation pump that's the problem? My biggest worry is that I'll DIY a pump replacement and then it still won't work and I'll need a professional to repair it anyway. It's only a $400 washer, and at that point, it's probably cheaper buying a new one! Also, if it is debris that caused the circulation pump to fail, would replacing a (still working) inlet valve be a good idea?

  18. Hello all, We have the GE dishwasher listed in the subject, purchased in Jan 2017. A few months ago the adhesive for the metal bracket that attaches to the stainless steel interior gave and broke loose. Unfortunately it now sags and interferes with the top rack drawer. We have called GE and although it is obviously a craftsmanship flaw, their warranty is only one year and they want $125 for a service call, $125/ hr for Labor. My wife attempted to superglue it when it first happened, but it only held for a few days. I then tried JB weld, which didn’t work- I think there’s too much vibration. It looks like it was some adhesive they used to attach it- doesn’t look like a weld or anything. I figured it must be something special to deal with the vibration. Does anyone know how the bracket can be reattached? photo here: https://www.applianceblog.com/mainforums/threads/ge-dishwasher-gdt695ssj0ss-jet-bracket-issue.73347/#post-368913

  20. You know that complicated-looking cycle sequence chart on the techsheet for these dishwashers that no one uses because they don't understand it? Yeah, that one. We explained how to use it in the Appliantology Tips and Tricks webinar on August 11, 2019. It really is a powerful troubleshooting aid that lets you check all the functions and loads in the machine in just a few minutes. Appliantology premium tech members may watch the webinar recording here. 21. Type HG01 Intake/Drain starts blinking within 2-3 minutes from start then the time on the wash goes to zero even if it read over 2 hours seconds before. Before this happened, it also didn't drain completely after it was done. We have taken the filter on the bottom out and cleaned it, but it was not clogged in the first place. Machine is about 10 years old and we never had problems with it before now. Not sure what other info I can provide. Help please. Thank you
  22. The BOSCH SHU 4306 CU dishwasher (DW) is 20+ years young. It did develop very unpleasant behaviour. Any of the available wash cycle starts in correct way. These wash cycles are: POWER SCRUB PLUS, SCRUB WASH, REGULAR WASH, RINSE & HOLD. Here are step by step description of events. press ON switch the DW starts with the short drain sequence the DW starts with wash mode which was used in previous washing cycle water valve is enabled, water flows into the DW after while the big high pressure pump is activated and dishes are getting washed water continues to flow into the DW the safety floater starts to climb when it reaches the top point, the drain pump kicks in the water valve is disabled, water stops flowing into the DW in this moment, the water level is a little bit lower (see (9)) the safety floater goes down, the drain pump stops running the water valve gets enabled, the water is flowing again into the DW steps (7), (8), (9), (10), (11), (12) get repeated 15-25 times. Approximately once per second then, there is no cycling for approximately 15-20 seconds after these 15-20 seconds, the cycles 7-12 are again executed This goes for ever. If I interrupt the process, by simultaneously pressing POWER SCRUB PLUS and REGULAR WASH buttons, the DW goes into the DRAIN mode. All the water is pumped out from the DW and the CLEAN LED is activated. I did expect that at the end of the DRAIN process, the water valve will be disabled. But it isn't. The water continues to flow into the DW. Please, help out to debug and find the root cause for this unpleasant behaviour. Thanks

    Bosch Dishwasher Error Code E15

Hey there! New to the forums & looking for some insight about an issue I have ran into! I have a Bosch Stainless Steel Dishwasher that keeps stopping about 3 mins into the cycle. What it is doing, from what I can tell, is after it fills up it will run for a few seconds then it will "overflow" and the overflow tube will send water down to the "flood switch" at the bottom and cause it to stop. I've checked the sump for debris and didn't find anything. I have tilted it back at a 45 degree angle but that only cleared the water. So I'm wondering what else to look at. I will include the model number below. Model Number: SHP65T56UC/01
  24. Our dishwasher worked fine yesterday and this evening when I went to start it there was a little snowflake icon blinking on it. I looked it up and some people said it had to do with the rinse aid. I checked and the rinse aid wasn't empty but I put some more in anyway and the problem persists. The snowflake icon will blink for a few minutes, then the whole thing shuts off. Any help would be great. Thanks.
