  1. I have a GE Cafe Series range (CGS985SET8SS) where only half of the right front burner has flames when turned on. This started happening when we removed the burners to do some cleaning (the burners themselves were not cleaned). As a longshot, I've tried cleaning out the burner holes with a pin but that hasn't helped (they aren't clogged or dirty). Any ideas?

  11. Hello, any help would make me a hero. Original problem - two year old dishwasher just stopped working. No lights, no nothing. Solution - I ordered a new control board like this one https://partsdr.com/part/wd21x24798-control-board I installed it an the lights came on! New Problem When I press start, it just beeps two times. What I have tried: Cut power and wait 10 minutes - no change CONSUMER ERROR MODE :Press and hold the Cycle Select and Start pads simultaneously for 5 seconds.- this showed me door was properly closed. weird thing is that after all the lights went out that indicated door was properly shut, I was able to press start and it ran through a whole cycle. BUt still will not start. I think either have a defective part, or this board somehow needs to be synced to the machine somehow, and I though cutting the power would accomplish that. Any Suggestions? Thanks!

  22. This unit has never been connected to water. It maintains perfect temperature. When it was moved to do some kitchen remodeling, they noticed the exterior wall, behind the ice room had rusted through and a large chunk of ice had formed. I have since cut off all that rusted sheet metal and removed the ice. It runs great. I noticed ice forming on the exposed insulation after a week of removing it. I have no idea why this is happening. Could it be a design flaw? Would adding more insulation solve the problem? Do I need to add sheet metal or something to seal out the ambient air? Any suggestions are welcomed. Has anyone seen this before? If so, what was the fix? I appreciate any thoughts or suggestions.
  23. GE Dishwasher (GDF610PGJ2BB) water would not drain so replaced drain pump on Friday, May 29th. The first two loads it ran with no problem. Today the drain pump runs nonstop and the control panel is not counting down from estimated time. Guessing the drain pump burnt out because of this same issue. The dishes appear to fully cycle and be clean but not dry. Searches of similar issues with GE Dishwashers have led me to believe it might be the Flood Switch or Control Board, but that is a guess. Any advice on what might be causing this problem?
  24. Hello and thanks for this wonderful forum. The dishwasher makes all the right sounds as well as heats up but I do not think there is any spraying taking place. I have checked the following: Inlet fill valve-Clean, it had some black plastic pieces, I cleaned it all out. Could have been one of the washers. The filter was not dirty, but I cleaned it really well with a tooth brush. The circulation pump-took it out, checked it, looks brand new, put it back in, still no spray. Can I connect the pump to 110 volts and check if it is working? My guess now is the control board, which on this Dishwasher is a really accessible, 30 minute job to replace it, but just wanted to check with the experienced DIYs on this forum before I ordered it.
