I’m working on a KitchenAid range that won’t bake nor broil… both elements check good. No burnt spots on the control board/panel. There is no thermal fuse that I see. What should I do next? Is it gonna be in the board? The cooktop works perfect.

I'm planning on repainting the old gal but first want to install a new power cord and need to clean out and replace all the old grease that's seeping out. Meanwhile, I've only removed the rear end cap and it stopped working: no sound or movement when the speed control is moved. I can send photos if need be, but what is the first thing to look for in this case? Thanks, Ron

Help. I have a 12 yr old KitchenAid KGSS907SSS01 gas range. The bake burner works good, as do all of the 4 burners on the cook-top. The broiler starts ok and after a few seconds there is a click sound and the flame goes out. A friend of mine and I took the range apart and used a multimeter to try to find a an obvious problem with no luck. The Thermostat appears to be ok. Separately, the convection fan doesn't come on anymore (not that it was used much anyway).

Bought a fridge from someone, they told me the repair man said there was a leak which is why they were getting rid of it. I checked for leaks and couldn't find anything, tried to start up the fridge and the compressor overload tripped a little afterwards. Figured out the low side was going into a full vacuum so I isolated the cap tube (which was completely restricted) and purged it with 300 psi of nitro until what looked like some oxidation came out the other end. I decided to flush the cap tube with one of those flush canisters and ac flush until there was an uninterrupted stream at the other end then purge with nitro afterwards. I reassembled the the cap tube, installed a new filter, triple evac, and weighed in a new charge. Checked to make sure the low side wasn't going into a vacuum and let the fridge cool down. After waiting about a full day the temp in the freezer is only showing 44 F. I have waited a couple of hours and it seems to be stuck at that temp. I have a bad feeling that the cap tube is still restricted (not completely blocked but restricted) even after I purged it. I really don't have much experience with this so I'm reaching out for some ideas why the fridge is taking so long to cool down.

Hi there helpful folks. This forum has been very helpful as I've navigated this broken dishwasher. Last week it stopped spraying when running a wash cycle. Water fills the bottom, the soap pod does come down, but doesn't dissolve fully, and food particles in the bottom barely move. It does drain if you run the drain cycle once water is in the bottom. So far, I have: Checked filter (clean) Thoroughly checked the float for debris (cleaned and clear) Removed and run water through the spray arms (all running just fine) Run diagnostic mode (it shows a 4-3 error code) Replaced the circulation pump motor (THAT was fun) I'm kind of at a loss of what to do for my next steps, and of course, there are no resources over the phone. Trying to avoid anyone coming into the house right now. Any guidance would be much appreciated!

Hello all! First time poster so forgive my noob mistakes. I have a whirlpool 5 door fridge that I’m flipping, or was the plan. The lady I got it from said that the freezer froze over and then the door alarm wouldn’t stop going off. I’ve checked the freezer section and I can’t find any indication that it ever froze over. I can however find that the eBay fan in the refrigerator section is not running and not getting power. From what I believe is due to the door switch. to date: ive probes all the leads. No power to evaporate fan. door switches all tested out with correct ohms. But the voltage is at 6, not 120 as information suggests it should be. I’ve replaced 3 of the 5 door switches. Still nothing. I’ve tried jumping/bypassing the last two remaining door switches, still a no go. the pantry door control is functioning as expected, and I read where one could disconnect the pantry door and this would correct the situation. Not with this unit! I’ve traced pantry control wiring back to where it enters the wall of the unit. Unhooked it deom that junction and inspected each wire for breaks, nada! tge LED lighting turns off after 5 minutes. And I have to unplug it and reconnect before they will come back on. the refrigerator will not run (compressor) unless I put it into test mode and then take it out manually. Once I do this I can get the compressor to turn on and start cooling. But of course the wrap starts to freeze over after a few minutes because the evap fan isn’t working. I’m on the third evap fan! The first one was dead, the second one was DOA and now this one. That so far tests out. I’ve actually started to use another fan, just as a crash test dummy so if it is the board drying them it will dry an old computer cooling fan and I’ll still have the good fan. Lol. im at a loss. The aurora board is mentioned in a few posts out there. I’ve inspected it connection by connection. But nothing has been discovered. On boards like these I generally repair them, since I’m not in a position for parts markup. The main board I’ve proved as well. Power is at all the proper points, but even this board I’ve tested and nothing. Any ideas on what to check next. Aside from my blood pressure and my insanity level. This unit is becoming my arch nemesis. I would normally walk away from it, and have 3 times already. But my sister seen it and now she wants it. Can anyone help With a service manual or any advice??? if I’ve left out anything or if you have questions for me, please post them here and I’ll respond ASAP. thanks so much for allowing me to be a part of the site. ~DIYChick

Hi everyone, my fridge has been warm (55 F) for a few days now, and the freezer at about 15 F. The evaporator was full of ice so I tested the defrost thermostat, fan motor, and defrost heater on the bench and they are all ok. I then entered the fridge into Test Mode and everything checked out ok except when I test the Defrost Heater it doesn't get hot (on the bench it showed continuity @22k Ohms) Is there anything else I need to test? I've read about a "Defrost timer" but I am not sure where it is located and how to test. Should the defrost heater get hot during Test Mode? Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.
