My Whirlpool side by side fridge model number WRS325FDAM02 has a stuck water filter. After opening the access door, the filter should pop out a bit, i guess, in order to pull it out for replacement. But it doesn't. This model has no button to push, but an access door at the bottom left of the fridge. The filter should, according to Whirlpool, just pop out when the door is opened right-to-left. Tried pliers on the end of the filter, but the end of the filter is rounded and gripping it from the end is impossible. Removed lower grating to see if that help with access, but it doesn't. Water filter hasn't been changed in 5 years! LOL... Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My Kenmore Refrigerator Model 106.8576984 (GE? refrigerator 30 years old) has a damper that is stuck closed - refrigerator not cooling/evaporator fan replaced/no air from top vent. Freezer is fine and cools to 0 degrees. I believe it to be the reostat. What would be the OEMpart# or where can I find a replacement part? Thanks! Ron

I've been having defrost issues with my Whirlpool refrigerator, and I am at my wits end! What is happening is that it does not enter the defrost cycle on its own; rather, I have to manually turn the timer with a screwdriver to get it to defrost. I have replaced the following items: Defrost timer (twice), defrost thermostat and regular thermostat for refrigerated section. Once I manually initiate a defrost, the heater does come on and melt and ice in the freezer, and after about 20 minutes the timer switches back to cooling cycle, but does not automatically go back into defrost roughly 8 hours later (its rated time). This refrigerator does not seem to have any sort of defrost control board, as I looked over the parts diagram for this unit. I really don't know what else could be causing this issue. All replaced parts were OEM and correct to this Whirlpool refrigerator, and I did test them via recommendations elsewhere online. Please, if anyone has anything that could help me try and solve this I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks so much!

So I bought this fancy Panasonic Fridge Freezer 6 years ago, it had an inverter compressor and the company was new to the market... the device itself was merely OK (it chilled alright, but the water dispenser was slow and somehow warmer than it came out of my normal tap! and the freezer food got crystals on it regularly) but slowly other owners posted tales of woe online with devices failing, poor support and eventually Panasonic exited the market. On Friday night though, the device just died - it acted as if it had been unplugged. To be fair to Panasonic, the service manual online is great and very comprehensive - https://www.manualslib.com/manual/871900/Panasonic-Nr-B53v1.html (v1 and v2 models virtually identical) and there's even a wiring diagram on the back of the machine. It says to check: Voltage of the supply Power Cord Motor Protector or Reactor Control PCB Now, the power and cord is fine, and power is going from the Control PCB to the Reactor OK at 240v. The Motor Protector has continuity. I've luckily found someone selling the $500 PCB for $50 online, it should arrive next week. I'm a little concerned that the online reviews mention Panasonic technicians not being able to diagnose similar faults and basically dumping the machine which suggests the 4 recommended steps might not be enough. The PCB doesn't have anything obviously wrong with it, and seems a bit strange to die after this time when the caps seem ok and it's outputting voltage to the reactor. I wondered if anyone had any thoughts on How to test the reactor Any PCB tests that can be done to build confidence that its replacement will fix the issue Any other diagnosis that can be done Thanks 👍
