  1. Thermador gas oven. Oven will ignite but gas turns off after 30-90 seconds - lights and fan all stay on but obviously no heat - if I turn off and back on, it ignites but again turns off after a while. Broiler works fine. Thoughts? Tech said new control board and would cost me $1500!?!

  3. Hello Appliance pros, newbie DIYer here. Few weeks ago a falling tree took down the wires next to my house and fried most of my appliances. Surprisingly I managed to recover most except Thermador DWHD650 dishwasher. Upon examination I discovered thar the motherboard was badly damaged. My research led me to purchase Bosch part #00752731. The numbers on the pcb housing match the numbers of the old module. Once installed, I noticed that some buttons don’t work and LED lights are not lit. I managed to turn the machine into programming mode P2 and test all buttons. All work fine. It feels the motherboard needs to be reprogrammed to enable additional functions. I was wondering if anyone can suggest how to approach that. Thank you.

  9. New issues with a ten-year-old Pro Harmony natural gas range. I previously had the main circuit board replaced under warranty, discovered an improperly seated wire connector that was causing a thermocouple fault error, replaced a burner on indicator light, and replaced two burner gas lines. Doing this other work on my own gave me confidence that I can fix any issue with the range, as long as I know what the issue is. I now have two seemingly unrelated issues. First, both Xlo burners are completely dead. No gas, no ignitor spark. All other burners are working. No error code associated with this. Second issue is that the oven shuts off with error code e9 (four blinks of Preheating light followed by three blinks of Heating light), usually after finishing preheating. Oven will come back on if the mode dial is turned off and back on, but it's susceptible to turning back off with the same error. There doesn't seem to be any problem with the cooling fans as the code indicates. I'm trying to decide whether to tear the stove apart and hunt for causes on my own, or call for service. The warranty service we got was not a good experience. The circuit board replacement didn't fix the issue we called about, and the place refused to return because the warranty had expired (there was a one-week stretch between their service and my call back). I'm not that confident in my ability to properly diagnose the causes, and even though I'm in Southern California, we don't have other Bosch-approved service companies that are willing to come to our place. Thoughts? Are there steps I could take to diagnose before tearing the range apart?
  10. My oven will not turn on. There are blue blinking lights that indicate the error code. The left light which says oven blinks twice. Then the right light which says heating blinks once. Does anyone know what error code this is so I can order a part.
  11. I am trying to troubleshoot our thermador RED30v all electric oven. The bake element is not heating, the broil will warm slightly for the pre-heat function but zero heat on the bake. The bake element tests about 30ohms. The Red wire from the back of the controller mark BA on the controller has 240 when in bake and there is 240v at the bake element. It seems there is no return path for the circuit. Can someone help me understand this circuit? With the oven off, I did a continuity test from the element to the controller, the red wire is good but I cannot determine where the other side of the bake element goes. Both wires are red at the element. Is the return path through one of the two relays? I've heard about these relays failing causing this same no Bake element heat symptom. I am mostly looking at the BR,BA,L1,COM and neutral pins. The thick black wire on post L1 seems to be power in, the thick red wire on post BA seems to be power out (energized when bake is on) on has continuity to the back element on one side. I cannot find a wire with continuity to the other side of the back element which is confusing me. Any help on this is much appreciated. Thank you. (
