  11. The Rookie
    I have a Bosch Vision 300 gas dryer. Converted to LP with factory parts. It has worked perfectly until now. I have changed the gas supply to a fresh tank and still the flame won't stay on. When I start the dryer I can hear the burner ignite but he it goes out and never starts again. I am thinking that the high limit thermostat may have gone bad. I don't think it's the heating element because I can hear it ignite and i put sounds the same as it always has. And everything else works fine so I don't think it's the control board. I don't know anything about appliances but with guidance can fix anything so your help is appreciated I need advice on this this before I start tearing the back off and taking things apart. I installed the LP conversion myself with factory instructions and it has all worked perfecty for ove 3 years.

    Kenmore 110.97583820 gas dryer I have a Kenmore gas dryer (model 110.97583820) that has been in-service for nearly 22 years. Overall, we have been pretty happy with the longevity, the reliability, and the performance. I replaced the motor 4.5 years ago along with the the belt, rollers, and assorted small parts. Last week, though, I put in a load of laundry, set the timer to AutoDry, and started it up. I was really surprised when I can back and hour later to find that the timer had not yet advanced to the WrinkleGuard position. The laundry was bone dry yet the dryer was not only tumbling but still heating. It has done the same thing on subsequent loads so, for now, we are not running the dryer unless we are standing nearby. When I manually turn the timer to WrinkleGuard or Air, the dryer will run without heating. When I set 10 minutes on the Timed Dry, the empty dryer ran for 20 - 25 minutes BEFORE it stopped heating. As it is time for the annual pull-it-out-and-check-for-lint cleaning, I will do that this weekend. I normally also pull the knobs and cover from the control panel and vacuum out and/or gently blow out and accumulated lint there, too. What do you suggest as the likely cause(s) of this problem?
