    I have a Hotpoint HDA3600H35WW and recently had the timer replaced. Now you have to rotate the dial about 1/2” past the Start line to begin the wash cycle. Is there a way to align the dial?

    I have an old Hotpoint Dryer Model DLB 1550BELAD. I need to replace the cord on it but I have hit a little problem. When ever I search for the model number, I can only find a 1550 BEL. So is this the same as the one I have even though the model number is slightly different? Also, I was told that this has not been working. I am thinking the timer is probably gone. I think this would be the most obvious since there is not a hell of a lot of parts to a dryer. Anyway, does anyone know how to test the timer on these? Thanks for reading! Jim

    Hotpoint Washer fills, drains but no spin or agitation. Lid switch passed continuity test. It started with occasional not pinning then no spinning and now no agitation, either. I opened up the front and checked for some visible trouble, but it looks as good as new (6 years old) and nothing loose. The motor occasionally turned with slow agitation and even spinned a bit once as I was testing it, but no more. Motor assembly looks very clean, LED on the circuit board lights 1 sec ON / 1 second OFF, indicating stand by mode while the timer goes thru its stages and clicking between modes as though it is working fine. Any ideas what it could be? Is there an easy way to test the timer with a multimeter? I am thinking of replacing the timer?
