    I have a Kenmore Top Load Washer Elite 80 Series Model#10023832100 I have kept this baby going for years but now I have a problem I thought the bearings were going and I changed the Drive Shaft and the Clutch Assembly but it is struggling to spin and constantly stops or stutters with a loud squeaking sound.     Hello, Came home to a tub full of water after it shut down. Washer would not start, but rather would revert to a d1 error code after the basket attempted to shift directions (cw/ccw) and making a grinding noise. Washer still will not start normally and I can sporadically run a controlled spin test in diagnostics. Please see the attached video uploaded to YouTube. I speculate the shift coupler, but looking for advice. Teeth of the shifter appear to be intact with some slight shaving of the plastic, but no noticeable play when manipulating the coupler assembly on the shaft by hand. Thank you.

    Hitachi NW-75WYS I went on a service call for this washer but I couldn’t do a test run because the water hose was disconnected and the customer couldn’t set up the connection. I agreed to come back another time on condition that the inlet hose would be connected. According to the customer, the washer performs all programs and functions as expected except that it spins extremely slow on all modes and problems. They contacted the seller and the advice of the seller was that this has something to do with the settings. But I’m quite baffled. Are there such things as settings in these washers? Maybe there are and I happened to be unaware of that. It seems not to show any error codes either. It just goes through the programs as expected but spins so slow that the clothes remain unwashed. Do you have any idea about this problem? Is it related to the motor? Or could it be a problem with the inverter (I’m not sure if it comes with an inverter) ? Any suggestions would be appreciated.     When we try to start a wash cycle it seems to get ready for the fill but then no water is dispensed. We can fill it with a hose and then it will run, seems to do the rest of the cycle normally. Any ideas? Thanks, Jerry

    I have a GE Washing Machine (WPRE8150H0WT) that has been noisy and today stopped spinning. I thought the belt must have broken. I opened up the front and found the belt had fallen off and was sitting in the bottom of the housing. It is worn but not broken. I want to make sure I buy the right parts to fix this. No matter what I'm getting a new belt and I think i need the Shaft And Tube Asm (also seems to be called the Shaft/Mode shift assembly). I have several pictures and short descriptions below. All help appreciated. The driven pulley is no longer in line with the motor pulley. It appears that the driven pulley has moved lower but I'm not sure why. The offset in the picture is not from the camera angle; the big pulley is significantly lower than the motor pulley. More Info below this picture I also see what looks like a metal wire wrapped around the shaft directly above the driven pulley. More Info Below this picture I also found a broken plastic ring and a single ball that looks like it came from a ball bearing in the bottom. More Information below this picture. There is a gap below the wash tub and the Shaft/Mode Shift Assembly looks like is is siting lower than usual.
