Hello, Our RF135BDRUX4 Fisher Paykel Fridge started having an issue with the water dispenser after several years. It would give only a half-glass or so, then nothing at all, then another half glass, then it will give a whole pitcher, then less a half-glass, etc... I could not find anything in this forum or others about this. Any idea what causes the issue and how to fix it? Thank you all for your wisdom!

Water dispenser works intermittently. Works for a day or two then stops working for 4-24 hours. Ice makers seem to both work fine. Seven year old fridge and never had a problem until recently. I used a infrared thermo to read freezing levels at water tank and raised temp in fridge and freezer but little or no effect. I replaced the water tank heater and while doing so was able to read 13v DC at the plug so believe that is working properly. Old heater showed same resistance as new one so doubt it was the issue. Today I unhooked the hose from the back and confirmed a strong flow of water at that entry point although I’m not sure how to measure the psi. I removed the internal filter since it was third party but still now water. door will dispense ice while it won’t dispense water. Water inlet valve is a pricey part to throw at it but is my next diy step. What else should I check? thank you.

Looking for help in fixing a problem with a WRF989SDAM03 fridge. The ice maker stopped making ice and the water dispenser stop working. If I power cycle the fridge, both will work for a while. The water dispenser will work for maybe an hour and the ice maker will work for a day. The dispenser switch always operates the ice motor so it seems good. I ran the diagnostics on both of them and they pass. The Dispenser switch passes the diagnostic test. If I use the diagnostic code to manually operate the water valve, it will dispense water. Exit diagnostic mode and the water dispenser doesn't work. Cycle the power and both work for a while. I'm thinking that this is a main board issue. However, that is a very expensive part to swap out as a test. I want to rule out other causes first. I appreciate any help in trying to fix this. Thanks, Cary

Water / ice dispenser will not work. Stopped suddenly.

Hi All, My Westinghouse RS645T fridge water dispenser is not working. When I wasn't home it blew the circuit breaker so I am not sure if it just file or went out with a bang. When I got home I could smell burnt electronics, just didn't know what/where until I went to get some water! The lights on the front control panel do not work. When I press the switch to dispense the water the solenoid operates and the light turns on, but no water or ice. I was wondering where the controlling board is housed and how I get to it to replace? Really appreciate any assistance. Thanks Dave

I've got an Amana ARS9269 counter-depth refrigerator that I bought in 2003. Some years ago the ice maker, water dispenser, button control & display went kaput, possibly due to a lightning strike or some other weird power disturbance. I haven't bothered to fix it because other than the ice maker and the non-responsive display, the fridge works fine. But I'm in a fix-it mode right now and am wondering if anyone knows of any shortcuts to figuring out which electronic component(s) or complete control board(s) I should replace to get it back to full functionality. Here are the symptoms: - The display lights up and displays full lines of text, possibly information from the last power outage( time, date, duration etc). But there is no response from input to any of the 5 buttons. - The water dispenser, ice maker, and night light do not work. - The fridge and freezer function just fine. Any advice? -Matt PS: I would also love to get a parts breakdown diagram with part numbers if anyone has them! Thanks!
