  1. Hello all, I have a Maytag RSD22A, compressor won't start. Resistance values ok on all 3 pins. Can I check the relay and compressor by connecting 110V directly to the start pin, or is there a better way?
  2. tired to bake at 350º the other night and had a broiled loaf after 15 minutes at most. about 10 years old Relay board? Replace the whole board or can one specific relay be pointed to and replaced (if the are OTS relays and not proprietary.)
  3. Hello everyone. My Kenmore refrigerator began to make clicking noises three weeks ago after a power outage. I have replaced the relay twice with new ones. Replaced the cold control because it was going bad. Replaced the defrost board. Refrigerator is still clicking every 3-4 minutes, lights inside dim. The model number is 106.51103.10. It is only four years old. Capacitor checks OK. The readings that I am getting from the compressor are from the two bottom prongs: (8.5) from the common to the other prongs. (3.0) and (5.7). What should I do next? Is the compressor a goner? Thank you.
  4. Hi guys, I need some help. The symptom is it won't start- I've looked through all the posts I could find. I think it's the motor, or the control board. I've taken apart the whole dryer. No codes. Tested the door switch, the belt switch. the thermal fuse is good. the motor windings seem low. The main was 2.1 ohms, start was 2.0 ohms. spins freely. The control board doesn't have any burns or anything that looks abnormal. I also tested the P1-3 and P1-4 leads and the resistance was in spec, so it says to replace the board. I really don't want to spend 300 bucks on a board if that's not the problem, or if I can just solder a new relay on the board. I can hear the relay click when I hold start in the diag mode. my question is: how do I check the control board, the motor relay, and the motor? Thanks in advance, Marc
  5. GE side by side 33 years old, TFF24RCB. Compressor stopped running, cycled and clicked, unplugged. Did some research, found both the relay and gaurdette are NLA, so I bought a Supco 410 hard start, and waited for my electrically savvy friend to have time to look at it.. Relay appeared to have failed, no engagement for start, so no start when run voltage present.Installed the hard start, compressor started right up and fridge cooled down "close" to spec, maybe 5F higher than expected from diagram. Problems are running too long, but does cycle, front face next to door seal is hot, about 125F. All accessible coils and air path brushed out and vacuumed prior to fix. Relay WR7X138 and Gaurdette WR8X44 are both NLA, but IC102 has been suggested as a replacement relay, no idea on Guardette replacement, but it sure looks like a common part. Hard start has C, M, S that goes to compressor, and two black wires that were connected with wire nuts to the 3 wires from the fridge harness. Originally the condenser fan connected to temp control out on one end and between compressor and gaurdette on other end. Not possible with 3n1 hardstart as the thermal overload is internal, but pretty sure it was or has been running. Thanks.
  6. I have a Kenmore Coldspot side by side fridge 106.54683300. It has stopped getting cold. I cleaned the condenser which was very dirty, having not been previously cleaned 12 years. The compressor was very warm to the touch. When I plugged it back in the compressor would go on for about 10-15 seconds then cut out. A few minutes later, it would repeat that cycle. I thought perhaps it was too hot, so I unplugged it and let it cool down. No luck. I pulled the relay start assembly, (2255198) and replaced it with the new generation one 2319792. Still, I am having the same issue, compressor comes on, then clicks off after about 10-15 seconds. Compressor is cool now (hasn't been run in a few hours), same issue. Could it be the capacitor? Any ideas? I don't like drinking my jack and coke with no ice. All of the fans are working. Thanks.

I have an older Amana GUC gas/forced-air furnace that has an AP5522K relay. Would anybody know the difference of a AP5222K relay that seems to be much more available?
