  1. I love my Haier HLP21N portable machine because I don't have hookups in my apartment. I have one of the older versions of this model and the manual that was included is missing a lot of important information!!! I simply wanted to replace my leaky 8-9 year old inlet hose and now, according to the NEW manual, I may have damaged the threads where the water inlet valve connects to the hose and possibly the water inlet valve itself. Before changing the hose, I was experiencing leakage near the faucet hookup and now with the new hose, water leaks and floods at the other end. I got an adapter for fine threaded connection but it didn't make a difference. I am also missing the elusive 'water absorption cushion' but it wasn't ever a problem... I am so frustrated!!! On top of all this, I just purchased a portable dryer but I can't even wash my clothes :(:(:( Does anyone who is familiar with this model know if the water valve needs replacing? or is it just the connection??
  2. I have no water supply from water inlet valve to icemaker due to no power at ice maker solenoid. Water inlet valve itself was replaced. Ice maker electrical connector to inlet valve and water supply connector to inlet valve were temporarily swapped to test new inlet valve itself. Valve works-supplies water to ice maker. I'm looking for schematics on the water inlet valve and ice maker. I suspect an ice maker mold temperature sensor failure (which means I replace the complete ice maker assembly) But I'd like to verify instead of throwing parts at it. Professional advise or electrical diagrams are appreciated.
  3. I have a built-in KitchenAid side-by-side refrigerator model KSSS48MBX00. It has been having problems with the ice-maker's water inlet valve. I want to replace it, but I can't figure out how to get to it. The sides and back of this refrigerator are not removable and there isn't a removable panel. The water line goes through an oblong hole at the bottom rear of the unit. Once it's inside the sheet metal, I can't see any valve. Removing the kick-panel from in front, I can see the water line. I'd guess that the valve is somewhere above my line of sight, but even if I could see it, I wouldn't be able to get a tool on it. There must be some trick that makes it possible to get to the valve. Any guidance is greatly appreciated.
