Whirlpool Gold - Induction cooktop -GCI3061XB DIED

My induction cooktop died. No power. No beeps. No nothing. I've checked and on/offed the circuit breaker in the box outside and nothing. The unit under the cooktop usually makes some noise even when it's off and there's total silence up under there. My son made grilled cheese last night and left the cooktop on, which I discovered within 10 minutes or so and turned it off. The panel showed me "H" for two burners, which is totally normal. It didn't shut itself down for overheating. This morning - dead. Any suggestions? Many, many thanks! Mrs. Rum
