  1. We purchased a Whirlpool WRF736SDAM unit back in late 2014. At around 18 months (6 months out of warranty,) the ice maker started acting up. All of the symptoms are the same, it is just longer periods of time between when the system will make some ice. Every week or two, the ice maker will make 3 to 5 trays (cycles) of ice. One it gets to a certain point (there has been no rhyme or reason as to how much it will produce each time,) the unit will stop making ice, and what is in the bin will start to melt. Then a few a week or two later, it will make a few trays of ice again. I ran the diagnostic tests with the following results: 15 - Ice Level Sensor = 02 - Bin Not Full 36 - Ice Box Fan = On & Off working Correctly, and air flow verified. 56 - Ice Maker Error Codes = E2 - Motor lost position 57 - Ice Maker Harvest 20 - Motor Running CW until it finds Home Position; In-Progress 02 - Heater and Motor Off; Harvesting Not complete, Doors must be open Doors are all closed (with apparently good seals) and you can hear some type of small motor running. 58 - Ice Maker Heat Activation & Thermistor = 10 - IM Heater On; Temp Warmer Than Harvest Temp 59 - Ice Maker Motor 10 - Motor Running CW until it finds Home Position; In-Progress 02 - Heater and Motor Off; Harvesting Not complete, Doors must be open Does this sound like a particular part (or combination of a few specific ones?) I wanted to get expert opinions before purchasing items one at a time until I find the right ones needed... At first I was thinking the motor, but I am still not convinced... Thank you for your time ! ! !
