When plugged in, machine makes a relay clicking noise every 6-7 seconds, but is otherwise dead- no lights are on, power button does nothing.

This symptom has happened twice before and somehow corrected itself.

Sounds like a component on the control board failed.

Thanks. Can I get at the control board from the front (without removing the stacked dryer)?

Make sure the washer has the correct voltage. They make a 240vac variant. Check the model/serial tag for the voltage requirements. And yes if you’re changing the power module you will need to unstack the dryer and remove the washer lid.

Oh well.. I was afraid of that!

The washer and dryer plug into a 240v outlet through supplied y type adapter. I found a work-around for getting it to turn on: hold in the power button while turning on the breaker.

Thanks much!
