All Appliantology tech members are invited to join in this workshop on all things Appliantological.
We have a special session planned for this one. Instead of the usual Show 'n Tell on a technical topic, we're going to post tech sheets in the comments to this Calendar Event (scroll down to see what's posted so far) and ask specific questions that can only be answered by reading the tech sheet. If you at least try to answer the questions beforehand, you'll get a lot more out of it. The tech sheet and the questions are posted in the comments section below.
Your mission, if you should choose to accept it, is to check out the questions for each one and try to answer them ahead of time. Then come to the Dojo to see how well you did!
Who: This workshop is only available to tech members at Appliantology.
When: Saturday, April 27 @10:00 AM Eastern Time.
      Where: Online via Zoom
      How:
Click here to go to the forum topic with the registration link. If you're interested, register now. Arrive a couple minutes early to make sure your connection is working. Set a reminder for yourself for this workshop so you don’t miss it.  And check out past workshops here: https://appliantology.org/announcement/33-webinar-recordings-index-page/

There is water condensing on the louvers as well as droplets being "spit" out along with the cooled air. I think maybe the condensate is not draining correctly, because if I back off the temperature control until the condenser cuts off, the problem resolves (eventually). But then it's too hot to sleep. Ick. I cleaned the filter, hoping maybe that might clear up the problem (can you tell I'm a grasshopper?!), but noOOOOoooo...

Please help! :burning:

Either the back of the a/c is not lower than the front or it has to be cleaned, the drain from the evap to the back is clogged with dirt....the water has to drain into the pan in the back so the unit can use it to cool the condensor down...

If you have water coming out of the ac into the house it is because the ac is tilted towards the house slightly OOPS! reposition the ac to where it leans slightly backwards away from the house. that way the water will drip in back of the condenser where it is supposed to rather than on the bottom of the evaporator.

DO NOT DRILL a hole in the bottom, I dont know how many folks have brought me a dang window unit that was clogged or improperly positioned in the window and decided to just drill a hole on the bottom. It would be better to spray the water hose in the back and try to loosen up the leaves and drive out wasps nests and birds and critters thats back there making that a home.
