If you have a specific appliance problem you'd like us to talk about, post it here! We need a problem statement and a PDF of the tech sheet or schematic so we can all see it on screen share. If you have a PDF that isn't already in the File library here at Appliantology, send it to us by attaching it to the contact form.
Also, follow this Calendar Event so you'll get notified of new posts here. Look for the "Follow" button either at the top of the topic on desktop or below the topic on mobile.

a friends heat pump needs a new condenser fan motor and the number i got off the old one is AO SMITH - F48SJ8L5 it seems to sub to a generic one on line. the problem is the original motor has tabs welded to the body for mounting and the replacement is missing these tabs. is there a mounting kit i can get to add the tabs to the generic motor? i will be checking with the local supply house on monday but thought i might try here as well.

thanks for posting how you found it. i dont have a knack for finding things like that so i had to ask, maybe one day i will develop the skill. i have a friend that can find anything on google, he just always knows what to type to get an accurate, precise search. its a gift i think....

Various mounts:

A60055__18.95

KIT 200__14.07

A67804K_15.85

TFM-55__18.95

A67805K_13.27

A60007K_12.90

I don't know the prices now but google or put the part numbers into HVAC sites for specs. These are the most popular.
