Maytag Neptune Dryer MDE5500AYW

I read the previous post, below, ordered the drum rollers and glide bearings, and replaced them but the squealing is still present.

What I've identified is the right post that holds the right drum rollers has a small about of black build up on it and below in the basin of the dryer I can see some shavings on the floor. Also inside the spindle if the drum roller, where it rides on the post, I can see this black buildup as well. I started a cycle and watched the roller, it would stop intermittently, thus causing the loud squeal over and over again. So I sanded the inside of the roller as a test and sanded the post as well until all were clean then repositioned - ran a cycle and it was perfect. The next day the squeal was back. So I wanted to know if it's safe to put some kind lubricant on the post or is that a bad/dangerous idea. I noticed the heating element is directly below which concerned me with any kind of dripping and fire. Is the post difficult to replace if I have to?

You'll have to replace the post OR you can try loosening the post and giving it a half turn so the bad spot is on the bottom. The hard surface has worn off. I would replace the post but it's up to you. Click this for your part. http://www.repaircli...3129480/1480353
