GE Profile oven turns on by itself

2 posts in this topic

I've got a GE Profile range, model JBP48BA3BB, SN VT216668G, that just started acting weird. The broiler elements came on by themselves and the oven is completely unresponsive to the control panel. I get an F2 error on the display, which apparently indicates an overheating condition based on what I've read. I do not have a manual for the range as I acquired it from a friend that replaced it with a gas range.

I had to turn off the breaker to shut it off. Any ideas about what I should do to check it out and track down the problem?
