GE Fridge GSL25JFPH BS - Water dispenser wont shut off at times

4 posts in this topic

my side-by-side GE fridge starting having problems with the water dispenser recently. Its intermittent when it happens but this appears to be a common issue as I've read thru many forums. The water dispenser does not shut off after releasing the dispenser button. I've had it stick for a few seconds to long enough to fill a 40oz cup. Whats the issue or issues and how do I begin to tshoot this? I am a pretty technically inclined but I've never worked on a fridge before. Plz help.

Thanks

Need appliance parts? Call 877-803-7957 now!

Looks like an easy DIY job. How do I pull off the entire assembly? I assume the face plate pops off somehow - tabs hold it in place?

Let me know before I go prying it off and snap something I shouldn't.

Thanks

Remove the trim piece then remove the obvious screws. Easy-peasy. Click the image to enlarge it, which you apparently did not do.
