GE PROFILE DISHWASHER GSD4940C02SS LEAKING

3 posts in this topic

This Ge dishwasher leaks when it goes into the drain cycle. It's leaking from the shaft that opens the diverter for the unit to drain. I'm guessing the seal is bad. Let me know if this hunch is correct. I really would like to know from a technicians standpoint if this repair is complicated and what all is involved in fixing it. What parts will I need?

Thanks,

Dean

I did heed the warnings and saved myself a bunch of time. However when I was pulling off the plastic arm/lever it would not come off the shaft because the shaft was thicker on the end with the e clamp. So I whipped out the dermel and carefully wore down the tip of the shaft and the lever slid right off. Thanks guys. It was a pretty simple repair but I had never done it in 4 years.
