Asko 11505 washer starting to drip!

4 posts in this topic

My Asko 11505 has sprung a leak. Under the drum in the front is rust where the bellows hose connects. We can't see any cracks in the hose. Should I replace the hose anyway, or can this be an actual hole in the stainless steel drum? It's a drip leak. It only seems to drip during the final spin cycle. We live up in the mountains and have to do all of our repairs ourselves as there is no Asko repairman for at least 100 miles. HELP!

If the drum metal itself has corroded, then replacing the hose won't help. Can you post a good photo or two of the leak area?

You're going to have to remove the hose and sand down the metal to remove the rust and try to re-establish a good rubber-metal connection that won't leak. May need to follow up with some treatment of the metal to prevent the rust from recurring.
