Sub Zero 249RP stopped working

2 posts in this topic

Our kitchen has two Sub Zero under counter refrigerators (all refrigerator). One of them has been on the fritz for about a month, not cooling properly. Seems like the thermostat was having issues because when I turned it it would come on then cool too much freezing everything in it. When I would turn it back a bit it got too warm (About 40 degrees). As I said this frreze/warm dance has been going on for a month or so. Well tonight it died, 60 degrees and nothing happens when I adjust the control.

This is a September 1991 unit so its 21 years old. I have relaced the right-hand unit twice already but these puppies are almost two grand these days so fixing it should be a lot cheaper. Does this sound like a fixable thermostat/control issue or is the frig dead?

If it is dead does anyone else make a similar size all refrigerator unit?

Thanks for your input and advice.
