Kenmore/LG 580.5435190 or BHD-301-B Dehumidifier

Recommended Posts

I need a service manual on this Kenmore Dehumidifier

Mod# 580.54351900

Ser# 911TAQP00084

Another model# that is the exact same but under the actual LG or maybe Comfort-Aire label is BHD-301-B looking up as a BHD-301 on the RepairClinic site shows it branded as Whirlpool.

Need to know how to test the humidity sensor.

Thanks.

I don't see a Humidity Sensor on the Kenmore 580.5435190

I see a Thermistor ...

RegUS, on RepairClinic they call it a "Thermistor", it does have a thermistor as part of the sensor but that is attached to the suction line so if it gets to cold from frost back the compressor will shut down and leave the fan blowing to keep it from freezing the evaporator.

Appliance Parts Pros have a better/more complete picture of the complete sensor assembly with large pictures of each main part.

Thanks RegUS, better than what I had, (NOTHING).

Only problem the manual only tells me things I already know, mainly how to take it apart, no diagnostic info for the sensor, (just as you said), and also nothing on the main PCB.
