All Appliantology tech members are invited to join in this workshop on all things Appliantological: bidness, customers, tools, troubleshooting, flavorite brewski, whatever. Webcams and microphones are open and live!
This workshop is also a great time for any students at Master Samurai Tech to bring any and all questions about the coursework. We're happy to walk through any concepts you're having trouble with. Think of it like office hours with your teachers.
If you have a specific appliance problem you'd like us to talk about, post it here! We need a problem statement and a PDF of the tech sheet or schematic so we can all see it on screen share. If you have a PDF that isn't already in the File library here at Appliantology, send it to us by attaching it to the contact form.
Also, follow this Calendar Event so you'll get notified of new posts here. Look for the "Follow" button either at the top of the topic on desktop or below the topic on mobile.

GE range Jbp21bh1wh Tech sheet request

Thanks Sensei! Went to the call this morning and found a tech sheet. It was no help. It actually slowed me down. The board on the oven was showing the door was locked when it wasn't. The dumb tech sheet said 'when the door is unlocked  pins 1-3 should show no continuity' . It actually used the infinity symbol with "Ohm" beside it.

It then said ' when the door is locked pins 1-3 should show no continuity'  using the infinity symbol with "ohm" beside it as well. I had a "duh" moment for a while as the pins on the oven were showing continuity with door  locked and unlocked. I gathered myself, cursed the tech sheet and immediately disconnected the wires from the microswitch on the lock.

The customer-landlord was happy as the problem came after the tenant used self clean. Disconnecting the microswitch solved the problem and prevented the tenant from using self clean again.

The manual you sent has it correct...the tech sheet or more accurately, the tech sheet writer, was just plain dumb.
