LSZ244-vm6 LG Split system comms fault

Hi,

 

I have the above split system LG. When I turn the unit on, it powers up for 5 minutes. Then shuts down with a "CH5" error code.

 

I have replaced the indoor and outdoor circuit boards without any luck.

so what is the ch 5 code telling us? any idea? Im a fujitsu guy.(sorry!)

Looks like a communication error between indoor and outdoor units. since you have already replaced both boards it would then go to the wiring. make sre the wires are correctly connected, ohm out the 3 wires as well as check the ground. resistance should be about the same all 3 wires.Double check that you wired the board correctly. never hurts to check the voltage to the main power supply board also Look for the stupid things first,OCCAM
