Kenmore Freezer Model 19502

6 posts in this topic

Hi everyone. My freezer stopped working over the weekend. Its a chest freezer. Don't know how long but when I opened it everything was defrosted. Motor was hot and the green light on the front control switch was flashing. Any direction on where to start with this thing and what the flashing light means?

Thank you!!post-48523-0-16255100-1366605348_thumb.j

Need appliance parts? Call 877-803-7957 now!

That's a stock number you gave us. We need a full model number.  It should include a 3 digit number followed by a period, then more mumbers.  Usually it begins with 253. or 106.

Sorry but you are exactly correct on the model number. I was looking at the big print sticker and missed the small print. The link you provided basically says trash this thing and this is common. I got this thing off of Craigslist so if there was warranty it would be expired already or I couldn't claim it.

You could try a new start relay, if the compressor is hot then it is getting power, if it is cycling on the the overload the relay/ptc might do the trick.
